My roomate got tickets for the upcoming WWE No Way Out PPV at the Cow Palace.
Yes, that cow palace. The former hotbed of wwf tv tapaings that chronicled feuds like Billy Jack Haynes and Hercules, and saw the mighty Ricky Steamboat get his larnyx crushed by a ring bell ( i could be wrong about the last one, but it sounds right)...anyways...Apparently the main event of this Smackdown only pay per view is going to be Eddie vs. Brock.
Hmmm.
I am happy for Eddie, he has worked hard to finally get a main event spot. But does this not reflect just how weak things are now. Bob Holly is fighting Brock at the Rumble, then Eddie gets fed to him, (Im assuming Goldberg wins the rumble and somehow ends up fighting brock at XX)...these dont seem like main event ppv matches. Should be interesting to see if Cena can stay fresh, cause his eminem routine has potential to get stale real quick.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
I also have extra tickets, so if anyone in the Northern Cali area wants to go to No Way Out, let me know.
I agree with you about Cena. He's got to work on his offense (like, for example, developing one) before his rap-guy gimmick gets real old.
Other than that, you might want to put "spoiler" in the title thread (if that's still possible). I'm sure some people will be upset reading about Brock/Eddie if they've avoided the other spoiler threads.

Wrestling exists in the eternal present. What is, has always been, and when it no longer is, it never was. It has no past and no future, and sometimes even today is in question. - Madame Manga
The thing about cena is this, when he first started rapping it was awesome. It still is, dont get me wrong, but he went from being original to being more and more eminem-ish every week.
The past week's smackdown where he worked with heyman, he was almost getting annoying.
Any fan of eminem can tell you Cena's delivery these days is a carbon copy. From the tone of his voice to the the style of the flow. Cena has potential to be the next big thing, he just needs to be careful.
btw - thanks for the heads up on the spoiler thing, didnt even think about that.
To add feul to the fire of a Latino Heat ME push, he is the chosen superstar for the No Way Out add in the SmackDown! Magazine I got in the mail today.
Granted, anything a WWE Magazine says should be taken with a monumental grain of salt, but it's still worth noting.

Actually, Rey Mysterio's on the cover of the rag...er, mag I was talking about.

they have rey booked vs. chavo...i guess its No Way Out starring Eddie and the Chavo's.
I actually have really awesome seats for the ppv, and no one wants to go. Its funny, when I was going to get the tix, everyone was "in". Then they found out it was a Smackdown only ppv, all of a sudden no one wants to go. So again, if anyone out there is in the SF area, hit me up, I will hook you up (holla if ya hear me).
I have tickets in the 2nd row, ringside on the tv side and front row lowers on the tv side. So if you wanna go to the ppv, sit in the best seats, and be on tv all night, and meet me (!), these are the tix for you!
Well, now I wish I had money, because I'd take a couple of those off you in a heartbeat. My husband likes TV tapings and I know he'd have a fine old time at a Smackdown PPV. (It's the pyro. He won't go to house shows with me because they don't set off deafening indoor bangs at house shows. I can do without them myself.)
We've had floor seats, but never second row--I must lack the trick to getting them, whatever it may be. But since I don't have money, this question is moot.

One glimmer of hope for this match is that perhaps they use it to move the belt to Eddy for an Eddy vs. Angle match at Mania, while Brock is shunted into a 'special' match against someone from RAW. Now, if they have Eddy squashed by Brock on PPV after giving Sparky Plugg a 3 month build-up to face Lesnar at Rumble, then perhaps they have completely lost touch with sanity.
This is God's country, this is America and I've got a Rolex watch and you don't. Ha Ha.
The lovely Mrs. whatever and I took the kids to the local eatery to consume wings and view their first Wrestlemania - well, the first half anyway. A fantastic time was had by all!
