I thought it was an established rule that early-release WWE PPV posters have NOTHING to do with the actual booking of the show, and are just out there to swerve the public (namely, the IWC.)

Hope not.

It seems odd that the WWE would take the time and money to create a poster just to trick a SMALL percentage of the fanbase.

Correctamundo. These things come out around two months before the event. And for the most part have nothing to do with the intended outcome of the event.

BTW Bad Blood's original poster was Trips and Goldberg not Nash and Trips.

Summerslam was Sable.

Backlash's original poster was Team Angle I believe.

Survivor Series a couple years ago (first Elimination Chamber) had RVD...prompting wild speculation that meant he was getting the belt. See what reading into PPV posters gets you.
