I think Shaemus vs. Ziggler could of been better. There were quite a few resthold spots in that match that slowed down the strong momentum that match was having. Fans were still into it though.
Santino and Ricardo sapped the life out of the most of the PPV. All the way up until the Triple Threat. What a bone headed decision it was to throw that nothing match on the PPV, as it clearly should of been pre-show or better yet non-existent.
Women's match and Christian vs. Rhodes suffered because of that stupid tuxedo match which was unfortunate because they were pretty good.
The 4 way tag match was really good despite the lack of reaction in the beginning of it. I can't tell if the silence was due to the aforementioned Tuxedo disaster or the fact that the tag division has been so neglected. Gabriel and Kidd could be a really fun tag team especially against the Usos. That Worm reversal matched with Cartwheel reversal was tremendous. Also Darren Young Titus O'Neil are my favorite tag team right now. Them forming with AW is the right move. Expect LOTS of shit-talking in the foreseeable future.
Support black tag teams. Sorry had to get that out.
Punk vs. Kane vs. Bryan was awesome. The ending was kinda anticlimatic and it had minimal crAyJ but the majority of the match was fun. One thing I noticed was that for past few weeks in this fued Punk had been trying to get Kane up in the GTS but couldn't due to his back always being blasted by chairshots or worked on during the match. The GTS at the end was the pay-off that I noticed because I'm way too big of a CM Punk fan.
Tuned out after the Baby Goldberg match as I had no interest in Cena and Big Show snorefest IN A CAGE!
They did get me to sit up right off the bat by teasing a replay of the Shaemus-Bryan WM opener with Ziggler. Shaemus trying to work holds only exposed his limitations for my money. He works great WWE Big-man style though.
The tuxedo match just didn't work, but I'm not sure that gimmick ever gets over. Maybe it was just long enough since the last one that they forgot 'that trick never works'.
At least AW's turn explains Epico and Primo failing to exercise their rematch clause. Layla cracked me up with her dancing and taunting of Beth.
Storyline-wise, why should Brock accept this challenge now? He's already going to collect his contract for sitting at home as things stand - would it have been so hard for H to mention that if Lesnar wants the extra goodies he negotiated with Johnny, 'come and get me'?
Wasn't Ryberg supposed to fight three jobbers this time?
The Main Cena Event was about five times too overbooked for my tastes, but it at least had the clear ending visual going for it. I'm hoping we get the interim Anonymous Raw General Manager back for at least a few weeks. Show would have punched the chair out of Clay's hand any other time, he looked like a coward refusing to come out the door to win the match (esp. with Johnny's job on the line). But that's life in the Cenaverse, Bum of the Month Club division.
I guess they could come back with Show, but I wonder what they can do next to keep Cena out of the WWE Title picture.
