The Boogeyman/Finlay mixed match and Divas segment should never be spoken of again. Those were both absolutely abysmal. The Cruiserweight gauntlet match was rushed to all hell and Gregory Helms's 17-month reign ends with a major whimper. The opener was decent, but nothing notable. And the tag title match can only be described as a major off-night for Deuce and Domino. Happy to see London and Kendrick get the win there.
That main event, though, was completely off the charts. The crowd heat was incredible and it was actually the first match I've gotten REALLY into in a long time, because you couldn't tell at all who would win the match. It could have really gone either way. And it was a match that saved the show. The Batista/UT staredown was a great way to end the night.
One more thing of note, you've gotta give it up to Michael Cole who was obviously losing his voice throughout the PPV. He finally gave in halfway through the main event, which is too bad because JBL was obviously overwhelmed carrying the load himself (though he tried his damndest).
Oh, and I would have killed for Vinnie Jones to say "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" again!

-WWE Champion John Cena & HBK def. World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker
-Diva Talent Invitational
-Mr. Kennedy def. ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley (DQ)
-Paul London & Brian Kendrick retain against Deuce & Domino.
-Kane def. King Booker
-Chavo Guerrero wins Cruiserweight Open (new champion)
-Finlay & Little Bastard def. Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman
-Chris Benoit & The Hardys def. MNM & MVP
*EDIT* Thoughts...well I was really off on the quick picks I submitted earlier tonight.
The crowd seemed dead and Cole's voice was starting to go.
The only surprises were Helms, whimper is correct sir, actually dropping the belt and Chavo coming out of no where...unexpected, missed the graphic referred to below, there.
Batista was the only logically play there...someone suggested it should be a Cena turn but they had the tag straps so that sort of locked them in. The main event was the match of the night for wrestling. The Boogy match goes for fairly good laughs.

There was a brief discussion on the Carlito thread last week about Helms and how under appreciated he, and the cruisers are. It sounds like this match pretty much sums it up.

It looked like a heel turn and it got A LOT of crowd heat, so it was effective. But this looks like the Shawn Michaels heel turn of a couple of summers ago where he turned solely for the Hogan feud. I don't expect this heel turn to last past the Wrestlemania match, because...well...can ANYONE name another top face on SmackDown?

I'm not a Lashley fan or anything, but if they're going to keep on having him defend his title on PPV can they at least give him pinfall victories? If they didn't wanna job Kennedy out they shouldn't have bothered booking the match.
No Way Out is like the Annual Chavo Guerrero Cruiserweight Push Show. He's won the belt at three of the past four NWOs.
Pretty blah show overall. Main event was great, and Kane/Booker, the cruiserweight match and the opener were decent. The rest was pretty much dreck. I did get a kick out of everything involving midgets, at least I did until their match started.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

Well Benoit could be top face on Smackdown and I think a UT/Benoit World TItle feud would be interesting. But apparently Benoit is just a guy they toss in six man matches now.
