Results offered Q'n'D style:

-Sarita & Taylor Wilde d. Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne to become first TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions (Wilde pins Rayne after German suplex)
-Hernandez d. Eric Young (Hernandez pins Young after Border Toss in less than a minute)
-Samoa Joe d. Christopher Daniels to retain X Division title (Joe wins with Kokina Clutch after a reversal sequence)
-Pope D'Angelo Dinero d. Suicide (Suicide beats self by jumping through a table after Dinero moved)
-Kevin Nash d. Abyss to retain Legends title (Nash wins with Greco-Roman Taser to the Testicles)
-Beer Money & Team 3D d. Scott Steiner, Booker T & The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams) in a Lethal Lockdown match (Williams pinned after DWI)
-Bobby Lashley d. Rhino (Lashley punches Rhino, Big Show-style, for the pin)
-A.J. Styles d. Kurt Angle, Sting, Matt Morgan, and Hernandez (cashing in his briefcase) to win TNA Heavyweight title (Styles pins Angle after springboard 450 splash)

It should be noted that Hernandez was taken out of the title match after Eric Young piledrove him onto the stage less than a minute in. It should also be noted that Hernandez is a giant idiot for cashing in his briefcase BEFORE the title match, instead of after. Edge and CM Punk would be ashamed.

I'd be happy about the Styles title switch, but I'm wondering if they'll hotshot the title back to Angle at the next PPV. Can't really see any major heel challengers other than Angle at this point.

Fairly decent PPV otherwise. The Joe/Daniels match was pretty good and the Lethal Lockdown match was surprisingly fun. Not much else to say beyond that, other than Nash/Abyss was truly, truly awful.

The next PPV is bound for glory and is apparently going to be AJ vs Sting, title v retirement.

crappy ass show.

the wargames match and the burke/suicide match were about the only tolerable things.

I thought the show was fair. Nothing astounding.

Knockout Tag was alright -- Sarita & Wilde had matching outfits and a nice double-team finisher (springboard dropkick into a bridging German) so at least they're acting like a real team (wish they had a team name, though).

(Speaking of real teams -- on Impact, Sarita & Wilde are taking on Tara and ODB. Yeah, ODB's a trade up from Christy Hemme, but these random pairing and re-pairings aren't really helping the concept.)

(Speaking of Knockouts, Meltzer says that TNA has signed Lacey Von Erich. Click Here (f4wonline.com). Is this a good thing?)

Hernandez vs. Young was barely there. Young was dressed in suit to convince Hernandez that he wasn't there to fight.

Joe vs. Daniels was curiously lethargic. I'm not sure if Joe has actually lost a step or two, or if he's just wrestling more "like a heel."

Dinero vs. Suicide was pretty good. Suicide went through a table ass-first after jumping off of a ledge over the entrance ramp, which I bet smarted. The Pope's beat him clean twice in a row now.

Nash vs. Abyss, yeah, kinda sucked. Stevie Richards tried to keep Nash from taking the $50,000 -- I assume because the deal was that you had to end Abyss' career to collect, not just pin him. Since that condition was never going to get met, we get this blow-off.

Lethal Lockdown was adequate.

Lashley vs. Rhino sucked. Lashley's finisher is a knockout punch? Lame. Both of these guys could vanish tomorrow and I wouldn't miss 'em.

Hernandez getting taken out so quickly after cashing in took the wind out the crowd's sails, I think. They only seemed interested in Styles during the ME.

I liked it, it shows he's "honorable." I just wish that "Feast or Fired" wasn't so much like "Money in the Bank" -- and it's actually become more so since being introduced. There must be ways to differentiate it.

Nice that Styles won, but it's (for me) mitigated tremendously by the fact that he only won because Sting let him. Angle was down (Carbon Footprint) and Sting was standing over him -- Sting looked deliberately at Styles and then left the ring to brawl with Morgan, leaving Kurt defenseless for the Styles's (very beautiful) springboard 450.

I agree that this will somehow lead to Styles vs. Sting at BfG.

It did a nice job of setting up Bound for Glory which is all it needed to do. AJ vs. Sting is a main event that is worthy for their version of Wrestlemaina especially with Sting's career on the line. Morgan vs. Kurt will be next and hopefully a 3 way ODB/Tara/Kong match as well as Beautiful People vs. Sarita gone Wilde. Joe vs. Daniels again or a X-Division crazy match will probably happen. As for the tag team I expect a four corners for the belt with MEM losing thanks to World Elite leading to the end of MEM with Kurt losing the belt and probably Nash getting taken out by Lashley.

Considering the options they could have gone with ie Deaner as Knockout champ, Kurt holding the belt to face Morgan or Lashley for the best PPV of the year and MEM running over people, this was great booking. Also agree with Hernandez cashing it in. It was a face move like RVD did it which made him feel worthy of the belt. Also, cashing it in like Edge and Punk did makes look like bitches. Which for Edge its ok, but when Punk did as a face, he lost instant creditability as a champion. I'll probably pick this up on DVD.

Huh, guess my BfG prognostications were about right.

Bad show, but it sets up the best possible BfG main event they have, plus they get to do the Angle/Morgan match they seem so hellbent on. I would've preferred Sting winning the belt here before AJ takes it at BfG, as the whole story now will be about Sting as opposed to Styles ascending at the biggest show of the year.

Goddamn, they really need a new direction after BfG.

I didn't see the show. How did they play that? I can see them trying to turn one of the two heel, perhaps Sting by having him say "You only won because I let you" or Styles by going all ego and telling Sting he would have won anyway or something like that. Was there any indication that either one would be moving more heel based on the end and/or the announcers' reaction to it?

TNA superstars don't watch WWE television!

It was nice knowing you Wrath.

EDIT: I'm actually dumbfounded that while TNA can rip off every single loser WWE gimmick under the sun, they can't book the one gimmick that's been done successfully for 5 straight years correctly. Words escape me right now. If they needed to do Sting vs. Styles at the next PPV, couldn't Hernandez have held on through BFG and cashed in come November?

It was pretty neutral, I think. Sting looked deliberately at Styles -- but didn't gesture or anything -- and then attacked Morgan. The announcers definitely picked up on Sting's actions but didn't pass judgment on it.

It strikes me as a little patronizing on Sting's part, and although Daniels (and then a bunch of the Impact Zone fans) joined Styles in the ring to celebrate, Sting did not. But they didn't show Sting at all after the pin, I don't think -- he wasn't standing on the ramp applauding but he wasn't stroking his chin and glaring, either.

They could go either way at this point. If I had to guess I'd say it'll be face vs. face -- neither of these guys are going to get booed at this point anyway.

I don't think TNA is ready to pull the trigger on Hernandez yet. Whether that's a good idea or not remains to be seen because either they have another Batista (slowly gain personality, improved single's work, title run) or they fuck up like they did with Monty Brown and fail to capitalize on a home grown guy that the fans are salivating for.

With Feast or Fired in November, he'd either have to win it at No Surrender, which might be too early or BFG, which is Sting's PPV so he wasn't getting any of that action.

Cena can't be beat because he's some unholy genetic recombinate of superstars past. I mean, you might as well call him John "Realest of the Real, Sargent Rock - Cold - A - Mania" Cena.

The author didn't really say anything new, he needs a better spellchecker, and he also needs to learn the difference between "your" and "you're". other than that, it was fine... for a Wienerville post.
