Reading the article, I can't see how Upshaw's complaints can be fixed. The salary cap put things on an even level, yes, but now he says that there are too many teams out there who don't "have". It sure does sound like a way to get more money to the players.
Oh, and both Washington and Chicago sure as hell aren't spending their money wisely. Geez...
There's no way the league plays without a cap in '07. We're three years away and they're already working on a three year extension to the existing deal. Something will get settled long before it ever becomes a mainstream issue.
It's a toss up between Blichick and Lewis. IMO, the nod goes to Belichick who took all the turmoil at the start of the season plus a plethora of injuries and put together one Hell of a season. Lewis Two and Verneil three, Parcells four.
