That's just the expiration date for the Collective Bargaining Agreement. It's when the cap is DUE TO expire, but surely they'll get the deal extended.

Reading the article, I can't see how Upshaw's complaints can be fixed. The salary cap put things on an even level, yes, but now he says that there are too many teams out there who don't "have". It sure does sound like a way to get more money to the players.

Oh, and both Washington and Chicago sure as hell aren't spending their money wisely. Geez...

There's no way the league plays without a cap in '07. We're three years away and they're already working on a three year extension to the existing deal. Something will get settled long before it ever becomes a mainstream issue.

I have always admired Bledsoe. I hope he can help turn things around for the Bills. The way he kept quiet when he wasn't allowed to fight to get his job back... another reason i respect him. He's got talent and the nfl teams know this.
