When the Tigers came to Busch right after the All-Star Break in 2001, the pitchers were done stretching out on the field and headed into the dugout from left about a half-hour before the first pitch. Meanwhile, Lima hopped over the short fence on the third base side and into the second row of seats so he could sign autographs and have fans take pictures with him for about ten minutes. The grin he had the whole time was ridiculously large.

A class act to say the least.

Sad to hear. When you hear a massive heart attack at 37 years old you gotta wonder if it had anything to do with possible roid use in the past.

He must've been scrimping on the performance-enhancing drugs, then. (sadly hangs curveball in memory)

If I had to guess anything, I would say amphetamine abuse. Regardless, it's sad to see LimaTime gone.

The most awful part comes after he falls the first time and they catcher runs past him in the attmeped run-down and you just *know* he's gonna score and make the ESPN Top Ten Plays, BUT he falls AGAIN and gets tagged.
