Well, call it complete, mindless boredom since work was closed early due to the oncoming snowstorm (that never arrived), but I decided to submit and order the TNA ppv last evening.

Why, God, why?

This is all strictly my opinion, but this was not good. It actually made me MISS Nitro in a big way, and I suffered through some pretty bad Nitros (Ric Flair's beatdown in the desert, Mysterio's giant killer push pitting him against Scott Norton, all of the New Blood).

The production values were not good, a great deal of wrestlers were out of shape (and I'm not even talking about Dusty or Vader here), and with the exception of Dusty Rhodes, I have to say those were some of the Worst. Promos. Ever.

I had such high hopes that this would turn into some real competition for the WWE... but I have to throw in my dissenting voice here and say they're not there yet.

i've never seen it, but give it a chance. it's still new. it takes a long time to build a new company from the ground up, let alone a wrestling company that could be serious competition for the most successful promotion ever.

It's hard to give a company a chance at $10 a pop.

Agreed. But still, I have seen it a couple of times and it has been as entertaining as the WWE. Now, trying to determine if that is a compliment or an insult is the kicker!

Homer: I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

Barney: I'm Barney Gumble, and I'm and alcoholic.
Lisa: Mr Gumble, this is a girl scout meeting.
Barney: Is it? Or is it that you girls can't admit that you have a problem!

Big brother representative: Now, Mr. Simpson, may I ask why you're here?
Homer's Brain: Don't say revenge. Don't say revenge.
Homer: Ummm... revenge?
Homer's Brain: Okay, that's it. I'm outta here.

I've bought three shows - but it's a trial to watch them. I think I even fell asleep during the last one. Everything's just soooo tedious and two hours is a long time without commercial breaks and the continuous replays that the WWE has conditioned me to.

Sure, some wrestlers are out of shape, but some WWE guys don't look so fit either. I'd take the body of Ron "The Truth" Killings, Low-ki, or Elix Skipper over the roided up freaks in WWE any day.

BTW, the NWA-TNA is getting a big advertisement in an upcoming movie. I believe it's called Head of State starring Chris Rock.

How come Luger and Sting had to defend the tag-team titles twice on one show? Good of Tony to promise they'd stay with the Flair/Savage World Title match no matter how long it goes-- this being a pay-per-view and all, and not even the last match at that.
