The 1997-2000 Steelers have showed up for Monday Night Football. As a life long Steeler fan and LONG TIME Kordell hater I must say, PUT IN TOMMY MADDUX! CHARLIE BATCH! ANYONE! What a rotten game with rotten stupid plays by the Steelers. I think we need to go back to training camp and learn not to move before the snap, not to hold the receivers, and teach Kordell to throw it to the guys with the same color jersey.
Keep in mind its only the 3rd Quarter, but damn I am glad we play in the wretched NFC North. BRING ON THE BUNGLES!

The Patriots will STILL not get any respect. Tom Brady is STILL a fluke. It's not that the Patriots WON today's game, completely stifled the Steelers offensively and defensively, it's that the Steelers, who are OBVIOUSLY the superior team, they lost. The Patriots were just lucky. AGAIN. Just like the last 9 games last year. Boy, I'd love that luck.

If one team was OBVIOUSLY better than another team, then then would OBVIOUSLY win.
OBVIOUSLY, the pats won and that's all that matters.
OBVIOUSLY.

I'm really becoming a Brady fan - it's making me wish I'd stuck by the Pats in the lean years since the last time I bandwagoned onto one of their Super Bowl drives.

Yeah, it was kind of hard staying true when they were consistantly putting out subpar years, but it was ALL worth it earlier this year when Vinatieri hit that field goal :)

So ummm.... Will them high and mighty Steelers finally shut up and accept the fact that the Pats are the better team? Also, will the rest of the World please get up and show a little respect for the fuckin' WORLD CHAMPIONS. The Pats are the most underrated team in the league, while the Rams, the team that the patriots beat to earn that whole "defending world champions" tag are still spoken of as the high and mighty gods of football. ahhh, screw it. Underrated is overrated, but i dont hate it.
As I have said elsewhere - the Steelers will be better served with Randle El at QB than Tommy Turnover or Charlie Batch......Pats looked good last night - Pittsburgh never stood a chance.
You guys are right, the Patriots are a much better football team. Pittsburgh couldn't even keep from cheating as Kenny Mayne would say. Were was the fundamental football last night? I hope Cowher completely rips into this team. Pathetic. The better team won last night, and thus far the only team Pittsburgh looked better than in Week One was the Bungles and Ravens.
If Pittsburgh even hopes to have a chance against Oakland next week they better learn snap counts, proper bump & run technique, which jersey to throw the ball too.
BTW, Tee Martin was cut in leiu of Batch because Batch performed better in camp and preseason.

The Pats and in particular Brady looked fantastic. Who would've thought they would come out and play 5 wides as often as they did? Threw the ball 40+ times and Smith only ran approx 15 times. Amazing!!!
The Steelers were particularly horrible. As someone stated previously, they were so fundamentally poor. The penalties were ridiculous and Kordell was really bad. I take nothing away from the Pats D, but when T-Buck has 2 picks, you have to say the QB was bad.
And I was so hoping for a better Monday night game...

The Grey Cup has been BC's to win or lose since about mid-season. It's been a disappointing season in the CFL, starting with the sudden dissipation of the Renegades weeks before the season started.
