Looks like the Pack is close to securing another top 10 pick. Anything like AJ Hawk this year, and it may help the rebuilding effort considerably. And it looks like you actually may have to have a winning record to make the playoffs even in the NFC, the way it should be.
Wow ... the Titans have gone from a top 3 draft pick to a middle-of-the-pack one ... not that I'm complaining.
Having been there live Sunday to witness the upset of the Colts, there's a certain bit of magic about this team ... they're only a couple of 1 point losses from being in the playoff hunt ...

If you don't look at the 5-7 teams in the NFC who would have to go 4-0 to be over .500, which 2 of the 4 NFC teams who are 6-6 can you see going 3-1 to go 9-7 with these respectives schedules(home games in caps):
Giants
Carolina PHILADELPHIA NEW ORLEANS Washington
Falcons
Tampa Bay DALLAS CAROLINA Philadelphia
Panthers
NEW YORK GIANTS PITTSBURGH Atlanta New Orleans
Eagles
Washington Giants Dallas ATLANTA
With each team tied at 6-6 playing 2 or their remaining 4 games with the 3 teams they are tied with, maybe 1 gets 3 wins to go 9-7 and the other wild card goes 8-8 and gets in on a tie-breaker. Very possible both wild cards go in at 8-8 from the NFC again. The Eagles are at a disadvantage due to be the only team with a negative home/road split, plus it is 3 straight division road games. As for the AFC, it will probably take 10 to get the Wild Card.
