Who wins it this year?

I say the Seahawks... this year is their year! With their Talent they've got a GREAT DEFENSE and their Offense is only getting better!!

SEAHAWKS ALL THE WAY!!!

It's strange. It's September and everyone in the city is talking about The Seahwaks and not the m's.

Doesn't feel right.

Well, at least the Seahawks aren't a lock to choke down the stretch when it matters. How anyone in Seattle can really get behind the Mariners as a playoff team is beyond me.

I totally feel you Drew... I've been a fan since the 2nd grade and it's been soooooo long since we've had a reason to be happy about our team...

Glad to see there's another hardcore Old time Hawks fan round here!!

Losing Chad Eaton hurt sSeattle a little but the offense should carry them to a division title this year.Im just glad the Niners and Rams are struggling. Before you know it Mike Martz will put fragile Kurt Warner back as starter and he hasn"t won his last eight starts. As for Frisco it looks like their offense is struggling with Jeff Garcia hobbled with various injuries. The Arizona Cardinals dont play all sixteen games against the Packers at home so they are screwed too.Seattle all the way to the playoffs, maybe the only team from the West?, We'll see.....

After them not making the cut for HBO's "Inside the NFL" the previous week, I was glad to see some extended Hawks highlights this week. The shot of Mike Martz screaming about the awful call after they showed how "awful" it truly was ruled.

Only in wrestling should you be able to cheat to win ;-)

Hell yeah... The Hawks have been overlooked for years even on the occasions when they did play well because all the experts expected them to choke...

This year we've taken some bumps and bruises but we're still here and we're going to be the team to beat in the West...

GOOOOOO SEAHAWKS!!

The 49ers are the best 1-2 team in football right now.

I know the Seahawks have a 2 game lead, but there is a ton of football to be played yet.

I am intrigued by the Hawks' recent success (and the Rams' continued unravelling).

I hope the division comes down to some cricial games between the two teams. We'll see.

Seahawks have one of the most hypersonic offenses in the NFL right now.

They are like a younger version of the 99 Rams. Koren Robinson, Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander are the Triplets of this generation it seems.

Hold on there about the 49ers. They need to get some defense before saying that they're the best 1-2 (now 1-3) team in NFL. Sure, they outgained the Vikes, but giving up 3 TOs that led to 14 points is never a good sign that you've got a healthy defense. If they can solve those problems, then we can talk about how good the Niners are... but until that point, I'm afraid not.

Due to my closeness to SF, I've seen every game this year. Their problem is that they blitz too often, leaving their corners on an island. This is fine if you have Mid-90's Rod Woodson and Deion Sanders as your CB's, but the Niners corners aren't good enough to defend Randy Moss 1 on 1.

Taken from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

Accusations have surfaced about Julian Tavarez doctoring the baseball with a foreign substance that he hides on the bill of his cap.

''It's ridiculous,'' Tavarez said. ''They checked my hat last year, too, and never found anything. They're just trying to get inside my head. But I won't let them.'' Just to demonstrate that no one was getting inside his head, Tavarez decided to ramble on for another hour or two and provide a quote of the year possibility. ''Some people like skinny women. I like fat women. Some people like young women. I like older women. Some people like poor women. I like rich women,'' Tavarez said. ''Some people like clean hats. I like my dirty hat.''

Watch as I eat my words!!

Seriously, Hawks are now in the driver's seat, although I'l continue to root for my team no matter what.

Fairweather fans blow. :)

Very true DrOp, I detest bandwagon fans.

I'm not gonna lie and wish the 49ers well, since I have disliked them for being so good for so long, but I certainly wish you the best in rooting for them this year if that makes sense.

Of course, I'm still having to get used to not HATING the Broncos & Raiders as much, and actually having to almost, maybe, sorta root for them if they're playing another NFC team . . . I still root for a tie or the blimp to crash when they play each other tho ;-)

Its still very OK to hate the Raiders. And, I'll be insensitive and uncaring in my happiness that that asshole Bill Romanowski is suffering from Post-Concussion Syndrome and may be out for the rest of the year.

I'm not sure what the record for personal fouls in a bowl game is, but I think USC/Illinois just shattered it.
