Bruno Sammartino is going into the Hall this year, as while there are still some issues between he and Vince, Triple H mended fences between Bruno and WWE and got Sammartino on board with the induction. Great to see Bruno get some long overdue recognition as one of the company's true legends and kudos to HHH for making it happen.

Bruno and Backlund going in the same year. Are they the last two glaring missing all-time greatests missing from the HOF of their era?
I guess the last Biggest Star Still Missing will be Macho Man after this.

Now the WWE needs to use some of that three-hour RAW time to really show why this is a big deal.

I'd imagine The Rock is going to go under consideration next year. Not to mention The Undertaker, who's career looks to be nearing a close. | lotjx

He had it all: the slick close crop, the big side burns, the big helmet head. Bruno always kept his look fresh with the times. And check out this new interview with him explaining why he's accepted HOF induction: Bruno's now bald with a mustache. Still changing up that look. Bruno's still got it.

| #18 Posted on 5.2.13 1757.27 | Instant Rating: 9.30 | Cena is the 21st Century Bruno Sammartino in both length of stay at the top and being so firmly about "values" in a way that probably appeals to Bruno. Having the #1 guy in wrestling induct him seems fitting since they're finally back to touting Bruno as the greatest ever. I think the only downside to Cena would be if he gets booed coming out for the induction, not sure if the crowd turns it off for the HoF.
HHH would also be pretty fitting and of the right stature. He's also older than Cena, so he might be able to speak to actually growing up watching Bruno (as opposed to Cena's respectful "he was my father's favorite and his father's favorite"). Plus, if HHH really was the guy who got this done, he kinda deserves the honor.
Also, Brock should come out and F5 Bruno to get some heat for HHH/Brock II.
OR! Bruno should reveal he was behind both the Nexus and The Shield all this time as part of his silent war with Vince. Bruno Sammartino as the mastermind behind Wade Barrett's Bigger Picture: greatest payoff of all time. | ekedolphin

I, on the other hand, am not too young to remember Bruno in his heydey. We went to many shows at the Portland Exposition Building back in the 1970s and Bruno was always the man. I also fondly recall Lou Albano, Tito Santana and SD Jones, too, but that was at the Civic Center when that opened around 1978.
Yay Bruno!
