I don't know, of the 3 matches listed only the Hogan vs Goldy match belongs there. Did the HBK/Austin vs Dog/Hart and LOD vs HHH/HBK have any impact on the "Monday Night Wars"? I can think of so many more matches that should go there.
Stewie Griffin: No sprinkles! For every sprinkle I find, I shall kill you!
HBK/Austin-DBS/Owen is probably the best match ever aired on RAW and it had a pretty big impact in 1997. Considering that Austin was slowly taking the top face spot that the WWF groomed for HBK in 1996, both men were forced to team and this sparked the tension that would carry over into their WrestleMania 14 main event.
I wouldn't put Benoit/Booker on, personally, but I guess if WWE wants to promote its current stars, I can see where they'd want to. It was nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I don't know... how about 1998? Not trying to justify this latest nonsense at all, just saying that `pushing the envelope' in certain ways HAS worked for them in the past. See the Pillman-Austin gun angle for a great example of that.
