60-90 people were in attendance at tht 9/30 OVW House Show in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
News worth repeating.........
Cryme Tyme were involved in the first match of the night against Pat Buck and Johnny Punch, they performed as faces and were over huge with the fans, even having little old grandma's in the front rows chanting "Cryme Tyme" over and over.
Joey Mercury worked two matches, the first was aganinst Jack Bull, and then later in the 5 man tag main event with the Untouchables, Mike Kruel and Eddie Kraven vs Cody Runnels, Shawn Spears, Chet the Jett, and High Dosage. He wore his MNM gear, but he has short hair now. He also seems less ripped, I think wellness made him go back to his ECW physique, he still looked and performed well though.
Mikey from the Spirit Squad worked a solo match, its amazing how good Mike Mondo has gotten, if he was on Smackdown he would be an awesome replacement for Kid Kash or just in the cruiser division by himself.
Beth Phoenix worked a tag match with Brit Katie Lea versus OVW Womens champ Serens and Tori (African American girl who was signed with Kelly Kelly, terribly Green in the ring) Phoenix and Lea looked good and could be called up at any time.
Paul Birchall worked against fellow Brit Steve Lewington, ok-good match which got a few boring chants due to Lewington working more of a European than American match. Burchill went over with a vicious Curb Stomp that popped the crowd.
Gunner Scott jobbed to OVW TV champ Chrles Evans, poor Brent Albright, to be demoted and have to work against someone as bad as Evans, whose only good move is a wide eyed facial expression he does. ODB is being paired with Evans and she gets more heat than he does.
There were several other matches involving OVW students that no one really has heard about, so I kept the report to WWE talent.
I got no problem with HBK wanting his win back, I think he makes a good feud to have more than one match with each winning. Espeically when he's wrestling someone like Jericho or Angle who won't be hurt by losing a match.
