has anyone else checked out t6he new WWE magazine? I was thumbing through it and it looked good so I bought the first issue at the news stand. I was actually pleasantly surprised. i might actually like reading this thing on a regular basis.
I leafed through it at Wal-Mart, and it looked pretty good. Very evident that Maxim, Stuff, etc. were the models for the new mag. I actually considered buying it, the first WWE magazine I've even considered in a long while.
Very "slick" presentation, with a weird (almost off-putting) mix of kayfabe and "real life" stories.
There was one article that I found a little disturbing, the "Pay Your Respects" piece (telling you where several deceased WWE Superstars are buried). It wasn't really insulting per se (although the cartoon tombstones did seem a bit much) but the fact that they mention guys like Owen and Eddie ... well, I'm just not sure if it was in the best of tastes, is all.
I bought it because my wife adores Batista and he is on the cover.
But yeah the "Visit the gravesites" section was a bit disturbing.
I did like the Sex Question answered by the Divas and the Mickie James interview pretty good.
Are they dumping the Raw and Smackdown mag now?
www.oklafan.com Big Show: Why is he getting the Intercontinental Title shot and not me? RVD: Ahhh...maybe 'cause you're a tool. Big Show: Look. I am 7'2". I am 500 pounds. I'm a giant. RVD: Oh ok. You're a giant tool.
Okay, so many places they could have gone with this one logically. Billy & Chuck d. Three Minutes Three Minutes get presented as cowardly heels who can beat up ring announcers, old women, wrestling legends, but can't beat a face tag team.
