What in the HELL did they go and do that for?

Is NOTHING SACRED?

I can't believe they managed to make the Weather Channel logo more boring.

As someone who worked in high-end Graphic Design for 9 years, I can tell you that the only thing more pathetic than this "logo redesign" is the undoubtedly ridiculous sum of money they paid for something my 6 year old niece could've done!!

Celebs To Give Forecasts On The Weather Channel
    Tuesday, Mar 29, 2005 7:15 AM EST

THINK YOUR FAVORITE SITCOM OR pop music star can handle a weather forecast? Well, in a bid to make weather more entertaining than it already is--if such a thing is indeed possible--The Weather Channel is opening its doors to stars of music, television, film, and stage by offering celebrities an opportunity to make a guest appearance on the popular 24-hour cable network. On Monday, The Weather Channel put the word out that celebrities will have the chance to appear on-camera from the network's Atlanta studios to try their hand at broadcasting the weather to millions of viewers. Celebrities and guests will be interviewed on-camera in a taped segment that will air several times throughout the broadcast day. In addition, personalities will be offered the opportunity to appear in front of the "blue screen" and tape a weather forecast for broadcast the same day.

Damn, the celebrities are just gonna be doing the blue screen stuff, not the actual field work? Because the list of celebrities I'd like to see doing live hurricane coverage is as long as my arm.

Too bad...it'd be a helluva way to eliminate annoying and generally useless celebrities. (I'm looking at you, Paris and Nicky Hilton...)

You know where this will lead:

As long as they don't take time away from Stephanie Abrams, they can do whatever they want...

I watched Yo-Yo Girl Cop. It was disappointing. It's sort of a cross between La Femme Nikita and Mean Girls, which sounds awesome enough, and with the prospect of yo-yo martial arts action on top of that? Well! It certainly sounds like a can't-miss.
