Is there a way to mark a popular thread as "HOT" while still letting me know that a "NEW" post has been added since my last visit?

Maybe...NOT? ;-)

"He is the most overrated piece of crap in the league. He bitched and whined after he got his ass beaten in New England last year, so the NFL changed the rules. Then he got his ass beaten in New England again. Every year he's the top MVP candidate. Every year he's supposed to be the best. Every year he's going to carry the Colts to the Super Bowl. And every single year he goes to New England and gets his ass beaten. And his brother's a whiny little bitch." -A friend of mine, on Peyton Manning

If your Post Preferences are set to "Show New Only," one way to tell is if your link to the thread is "thread.php" (nope) or "threadx.php" (yup) when you mouse over the thread title. Usually, it's obvious, because it's either surrounded by threads with the NEW graphic, or it's the tippy-top thread in the forum while the index page is telling you there's a new post in the forum, so I'm not going to alter the code to show both graphics.

When it seems like the whole world is full of idiots,
maybe your standards are a bit high.

When pressing "Mark all forums read" does that mark posts and threads read for when I loaded the page...or...that were made in that time I loaded the page and clicked it?
