Launching the second half of the seventh series, episode 708 entitled "South Park is gay!" has the whole town joining the hip new homosexual craze. Suddenly, it's cool to be gay! Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny go head to head with the other kids to see who can be the "gayest," while Mr. Garrison responds with, "If straight people are gonna steal our culture, then us REAL gays are just gonna have to step it up a notch!"
Later on in the season, the boys take on Rob Reiner and the anti-smoking hysteria and explore the issue of the elderly and their apparent vendetta against farmer's markets.

That would be Towelie, a genetically-engineered towel that gets stoned at every opportunity.
No, none of that is a typo.

Butters had been around since the first or second season, just not as one of the main foursome. When Kenny died "for good," Stan, Kyle and Cartman held auditions to determine who'd fill his spot; Butters had the job for a while, then got kicked out for, well, being Butters. (Butters then flipped out and invented a supervillain alter ego with which to enact revenge, Professor Chaos, but that's another story.) Tweek was their next "substitute Kenny."
As for the real Kenny... Kenny's body was cremated, then consumed by Cartman (who thought that Kenny's ashes were chocolate-milk mix). Kenny's spirit possessed Cartman for an episode or two after that.
In last year's Christmas episode (Red Sleigh Down), at the very end, Kenny simply... reappeared. The kids greeted him as if nothing had happened, and he hasn't died since.

Because God forbid Fox airs the Treehouse of Horror episode before Halloween one of these years... (I, like the rest of America, could give a fuck about the World Series.)

Rather than "kicking it up a notch," Garrison was the TAMEST male adult on the show -- which was the point to some extent, I suppose, but it didn't jive with the episode description.
I'm sure Parker and Stone have some aces up their sleeve, but they'll have to work hard to top the best of Seasons 6 and 7.

Ok I guess you're right, very spotty episode.
Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor, or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath, we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood, 'til it rains down from the skies. Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior, and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth, not to push the bounds and cross over, in to true corruption, into our domain. For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three, and on that day you will reap it. And we will send you to whatever god you wish. Collin & Murphy MacManus | krakken2000

I was wondering what they were smoking when they came up with this stuff. I guess they figured that "Drugs are goood" a la Mr. Mackey in the Plane-arium episode.

I admit it: I laughed at the wierd stuff too.
