I heard a rumour that a new Rock DVD was coming out, does anyone have any info on it? What matches will be on it? When its released etc Do they really have enough stuff to put on it considering his lengthy absences over the last couple of years? 70% of the footage is likely to be made up of behind the scenes footage of him filming his recent Movie roles!
I haven't heard anything about the Rock having a DVD. I've heard that Austin and Undertaker are next, and then the Monday Night Wars DVD, and then a Kurt Angle DVD after that. I'm sure the Rock won't be far behind after that, with all the publicity he's getting these days it could probably do better than all of them (except maybe Flair's).
Even though he hasn't been around as Flair, HBK, Austin and Undertaker there is PLENTY of matches to put on there. The I Quit match against Mankind, the Halftime time match from the Super Bowl, the ladder match with Triple H, there's several Austin matches to choose from, as well as Benoit and Angle matches. Maybe a few tag team matches with Mic. I mean if they have enough to make a Kurt DVD then they have enough to make a Rock DVD. Hopefully they'll also add a lot of interviews because other than Flair he's had a lot of better promons than the others.
Good point, thinking about the list you gave, it seems long overdue. I loved the last Rock DVD that was brought out, I loved the behind the scenes stuff at the gym and at Raw, its good when they give you something a little different. WWE DVD's are certainly getting better.
They were going to do a new Rock DVD that was supposed to be out at the same time as the Foley one but they scrapped it. Probably because they were expecting him to be back in January but obviously he's not back yet so they're probably saving it until he's on TV for a month or more at a time.
I think where the rumor started was somewhere, somehow, this was posted on a site and it spread:
"The Rock's Greatest Hits and Misses 1/20"
Obviously, only Foley has a title like that, and Foley's DVD was in fact released on that date. So I think somehow, somewhere Rock's name replaced Mick's, and then there you go. I may be way off on this, and who knows, they may have planned one for January. But I'm thinking that's what happened.

The Rock did a Super Bowl Halftime match???
Figures, the one Halftime I don't remember is the only one in History that I could have watched and not stabbed myself in the eye with a fork...
The empty arena match, where Foley won his second WWF title. It's on Foley's "Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops" DVD.

At least in terms of SD and SNME: UPN is a network. True, it is tough to consider it a network, but it is, and Viacom owns that particular network which airs SD. SNME will air on NBC, a network that competes with Viacom's UPN and CBS.
