The affiliate page is now complete and available under the "Spend" option on the menu. Purchases made after clicking the links here should give us a small cut.

Please keep these vendors in mind when making purchases online.

Thanks for your support!

Aaron

Target.com has been added. Here's a link to use until I can get this on the affiliate links page.

Semi-related note: Any way you can get the affiliate link buttons to show up on Dial-up Mode? Because I'm fairly certain (without actually trying it) that all you could do is just get the image.

The affiliate page ignores the dial-up mode setting. The link in my earlier post won't show up in dial-up mode, however.

Just click on the "Spend" link in the menu :)

I think it's wonderfully ironic that there's a Petco ad.

Now, if it was a Petco Park ad, I might buy something. :>

It's not ironic. I like Petco - I shop there all the time. I've thought about applying to work there.

//edit: The corporate offices, not at a pet store. They are based out of San Diego.

What's the irony?

You might consider setting up Powell's Books as a partner.

Their main store in Portland has always been considered one of America's best book stores. And it's the one partnership I've ever done on a website that actually made me money.

I noticed that the WOTD doesn't show up on anything but the main page (whereas everything else does)

Maybe that's intentional.

Edit: Specifically I'm referring to the Menu item that appears next to "Spend".

Without knowing that you shopped there, I thought it had more to do with Petco Park than the actual Petco.

This probably may be the dumbest thing I've ever asked (or ranking right up there), but this whole online shopping for revenue-generating referrals is new to me and I blame stupidity on the hour wait at Toys R Us. Let's say I click on the PetCo link, and it takes me to the small animals page. My 70 pound puppy doesn't qualify as "small" anymore, so I have to go to the Dogs section. The site ID thing still stays in place for the Dogs page, but if I click on a subpage, like Treat-Dispensing toys, the site ID thing disappears. I'm thinking you'd still get revenue, since a site like Wal*Mart has a billion subpages, but figured I'd check first.

That's a good question, actually.

We get credit for any purchases you make after hitting the site with our affiliate ID for a period of time that is different for each merchant.

As long as you enter the site from our link, we will be credited.

As for the small animal link - There wasn't a different skyscraper banner that I could find.

Another question about affiliates.
Say I follow your link to Target.
I also have other websites I visit affiliated with Target.
If I follow both links to Target relatively soon after each other, would you both get affiliate funds? Would you both split affiliate funds? How does that work.

You have to click on the link from the website with the affiliate code in it.

I believe the last clicked affiliate link within the window of time gets the sale.

Arizona, represent! I know that here, the very last thing we need when it's 100+ Farenheit, is for it to last any later than necessary! Thank god for TiVo that tracks what shifts & what doesn't when the rest of the country shift around us.
