I went to the television taping on Wednesday only to find out that they were doing a houseshow this week instead of the normal taping for the Saturday night show. That was fine in a way, as it was a chance to see a lot of the newer guys work in front of a large audience. It was also kinda funny to see Nick Dinsmore in his usual pre-taping spot by the concession stand - typically not many people bother him there, but this week everyone was running up to him to get things signed since he's now up in WWE (even if it is as Eugene).
Anyway, wasn't planning on tuning in to OVW this Saturday, but decided to do so at the last minute. Turns out that it was a new episode this week - but of matches filmed two weeks ago during and after the normal taping. They tried their best to make it look different, but with the audience all in the same seats and wearing the same clothes, it was obvious that this is what they did. Interesting throwback to the old days there.
Nothing else to really report there, but thought I would mentioned it.
I agree, Spike and Molly was a lot of fun in its own right and it also set up a few decent matches for various combinations of the Dudleys and the Hollys. Sadly, the payoff, such as it was, got completely buried under the Invasion angle.
