We've got a humdrum 224 DVDs, an astonishing FIFTY Blu-rays, and a mind-boggling ONE UMD listed below for your potential edu-tainment.
I'm trying something new this week - using our thread tag system, I've put a link to THIS thread on ALL of the previous DVD lists. Since the mercurial nature of search engines means more people are brought to lists at least a year old when what they REALLY want is the stuff coming out THIS Tuesday, I'm hoping this might lead a few more eyeballs onto THIS particular week's list. We shall see.
By the way, if you DO end up here, why not register for our fine message board, leave a reply here or there, and stick around?
PICK OF THE WEEK (RUNNER-UP) The Best of RVD TV, Vol. 1 The "groundbreaking reality series" which only ever appeared on the Web (I guess) - chock full of cameos from people wrestling fans might recognise - check it out at Big Vision (bigvisionentertainment.com)

TV OF THE WEEK
The Dana Carvey Show (ABC, 1996) This show had a loyal following....albeit a tiny one. SEE Robert Smigel, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carrell all looking a lot younger! Taken (Extended Cut) (France, 2008) Liam Neeson will find you. And then he'll kill you. "Extended cut" means they put the two minutes back in that the Europeans got to see, but we didn't...that also means the "PG-13" rating ist kaput. Kim is very much looking forward to me buying this for her (us)! Taken (Extended Cut) Same as above? Taken (Two-Disc Extended Edition) Adds a totally bogus digital copy and....anything else? Taken [Blu-ray]
In Tranzit (Russia/UK, 2008) Thomas Kretschmann, Daniel Bruhl, Vera Farmiga, John Malkovich

NEWLY ADDED FOR 5/12 5/15: Fandango - The Dash Cam Movie (The W at Amazon) "His finger is your tour guide to all of South Florida." Basically, some guy took footage he Handicam'd back in 1996 and came up with an hour long "film." I'm wondering if FLEA is somehow behind this. Hey, maybe FLEA is just an alias for "Al Marchese!" ANWYAY. You will have to be truly bored to catch the trailer (can you call it a trailer if it's ten minutes long?) at YouTube (youtube.com) - if it helps, I'll tell you that there's a pretty kittycat about 1:20 in.
"The Best of Star Trek: The Next Generation Includes "Best of Both Worlds, Parts 1 & 2," "Yesterday's Enterprise" and "Measure of a Man" - eh. Those aren't the four *I* would have picked..."
That's not a bad collection at all. I don't have any Next Gen on DVD so I might just pick this one up. I'm curious which episodes you'd have picked.

Totally off the top of my head, "Conspiracy," "Conundrum," "Cause and Effect" and....we need a courtroom episode and I already excluded "Measure of a Man" so let's go with "The Drumhead" because Picard on trial is more fun than Riker on trial in a holodeck (as in "A Matter of Perspective" - oh, you know "Frame of Mind" is pretty good, too.....)
Actually, I don't mind "Best of Both Worlds Part 1" by itself, but it'd be tough to not include Part 2. "Yesterday's Enterprise" I don't like much, more for what it did to the timeline and how they exploited it later in the series - by itself, it'd probably rate higher with me.
I think my main problem with that set is I see most of those as "overrated" by the Trekker community at large, whereas I'm sure the stuff *I* like is very niche...
Ask me again later for a completely different answer. :)

I really wanted to think this was just a really bad joke when I heard about it last year. Instead it looks like just a really bad movie. I think this may be most unnecessary direct-to-video sequel of the year.

Really liked a lot of these shows but it seemed all the later Treks were eventually comsumed by the "Trouble on the Holodeck" virus.
Like when the original series kept finding planets eerily similar to Earth.

Can I play?
I would have put THE CHASE and RELICS (Both from Season Six) on here.
The Chase was the one where Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, and the federation are all on a 'genetic scavenger hunt'. Relics was the one withe the Dyson Sphere and Scotty.

Having looked through Memory-Alpha, I'd have to say that my four would be: "Conundrum" -- Season five. The crew has lost their memories and are seen in different roles, kind of like the Red Dwarf episode "Back to Reality" "Cause and Effect" -- Season five. The Enterprise is caught in a time loop and keeps colliding with the Bozeman. "Tapestry" -- Season six. Picard "dies" and given a second chance at a different, safe "take no chances", life by Q. "Parallels" -- Season seven. Worf keeps moving between quantum realities.
Honorable Mentions: "Future Imperfect" -- Season four. Due to an illness, Riker is in the future and can not remember the last 16 years. "Clues" -- Season four. The crew awakens after being knocked out after going through a wormhole and everything isn't what it seems when Data refuses to talk about the missing time. Similar to Red Dwarf's "Thanks for the memories." "The Next Phase" -- Season five. Ro and LaForge are "killed" in an accident. "The Inner Light" -- Season five. The ship encounters a probe and Picard is knocked unconscious and wakes up on a planet as "Kamin" "Second Chances" -- Season six. Riker, on an away mission, runs into another Riker.
