Tried the MD Pitch Black today. Not bad, but a little too sour-tasting.

As a rule, I don't think I've ever tried a soda that I would never drink again. I'm no big fan of root beer (unless it's a certain kind) or cream soda, though I used to love them.

I tried Pitch Black last night, and I think the fact that it's purple is messing with your heads, because to me it tastes almost exactly like Squirt and has a much more citrus-y smell than grape (or sour grape).

I was really hoping Pitch Black would taste more like the sour grapey-berry flavor that the Brusin' Berry Slurpee had. Between the Baja Blast Dew, Fiesta Potatoes, and the Ranchero Chicken taco, I seem to be eating at Taco Bell a lot more.

Speaking of other new soadas, We have in our fridge right now, "7-up Plus" a "naturally berry flavored 7 Up plus juice" 3 carbs, splenda sweetened, containing calcium and vitamin C.

In my humble opinion, it tastes vile.

We also have one of the new Diet Rite flavors; Tangerine, which is pretty good. I really want to find some of the other new flavors but they seem to be pretty scarce in this area. The new flavors are: Red Raspberry, Black Cherry, Golden Peach, Tangerine, and Kiwi Strawberry.

Anybody tried them?

I am secretly using you all for research. Well... most of you.

Red Raspberry and Kiwi Strawberry have been in these parts for a long time. Red Raspberry is really good - amazingly sweet for a diet soda.
