Robert Trujillo, formerly of Suicidal Tendencies and Ozzy, will be the new bass player for Metallica. I think he's pretty good and hopefully their new album will be as well.

Ooooooh I like it. Good choice by Metallica. Suicidal was always one of my favourite bands. I think Robert Trujillo's finest album though has to be The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move ... by Infectious Grooves, a sideproject with some of the other members from ST. It rocks, and is extra funky to boot. The bass is in yo' face the whole album, check it out if you can. [/shill]

Whatever happened to "Cyco Miko" Muir anyways? Boy had talent.

Uh, the bass player left... Jason Newsted. He's in Voivod now, criticizing them for their tour with Limp Bizkit.

Gavintzu, I have that on cassette! Infectious Grooves rocked!

I think it's a great pick, but if history will repeat itself, it means we're not even going to hear him on the first album he plays on (we're already not going to hear him on the forthcoming one, since we're not going to hear Bob Rock).

WSP has added Jimmy Herring and the improvement is outstanding. Since Micky has past Gov't Mule is just a good solid R&R band. The front man Warren Haynes is just fine. ABB new line up is Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes and this makes for great R&R.
