According to 411, according to PWInsider:

- Former ECW star New Jack is backstage at RAW today. It is expected that he will get a tryout match tonight, likely a dark one. He recently approached WWE with an idea on how to use him, so it looks like they will be taking a look at him.

Interesting. I just read a transcript of New Jack's recent shoot interview and he pretty much shot down ever working for WWE. And it's interesting considering his feelings towards Paul E and The Dudleys that WWE would consider bringing him in.

As much as people hate his high spots and recklessness, he'll always have a special place in my heart for his trash can of infinite holding. First time I saw ECW he came out with the trash can and out popped the Captain America Shield, I know right and there ECW was going to be my next favorite wrestling show. Ah, good times, good times. He'll be gone before the show is over though.

If it were a Tuesday or Wednesday, I'd say maybe he's the next "Hometown Hero" for Angle to abuse. Oh well.

They should at least consider him for the ECW reunion show.

The reunion show is the only place I could see for him. He's got nothing but the weapon shots and a balcony jump. There's literally nothing for him to do on a WWE show in terms of in-ring performing. I suppose they could use him in some sort of managerial role getting in the occasional weapon shot or taking a bump, but that's about it.

Besides, they've already got Shane for the occasional dive from very high places. :-)

Hmmm ... I'd be interested in hearing the idea that he ran by them on how to use him.

Aside from using plenty of weapons there is nothing to New Jack at all. Since WWE will probably be very wary of letting New Jack have all his matches be 5 minutes of weapon-shots, I'd say his chances are not looking good. I am also knocking on some serious wood after making that statement.

I think you could use New Jack much like a thrift-store Mick Foley: challenging newbies to hardcore matches to help get them over as tough guys. Considering the Dudleys have vanished and not used a table consistently for, what, more than 2 years now, he could bring back the "get the ____" vibe and smash folks with his Can of Random Plunder. I mean, if SmackDown is seriously considering using a barb-wire match between Show and JBL, New Jack's antics can't be that, pardon the pun, extreme.

Other than a match with Bob Holly, I have no interest in seeing him.....but too bad they couldn't go back and re-edit the ECW DVD and interview HIM.

HEY! New Jack couldn't hold my jock when it comes to shooting professional wrestling on ringside camera...let alone those shooting for WWE.

And would you feel comfortable working in a ring you knew that New Jack had a hand in putting up? I wouldn't.

(EDIT: Plus, you know Vince'll be too cheap to spring for the ASCAP rights to blare "Natural Born Killaz" all through whatever appearance he makes. I doubt this'll happen.)

Man oh man. If New Jack don't get a job with WWE it only proves the racism in wrestling. It's an old story. Look, even back in the day, why was SD Jones a jobber when he was obviously better than half the team? Why weren't Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas or Butch Reed given world title runs? Even recently in WCW, Hardwork Bobby Walker and Hardbody Harrison were never pushed. They were better than guys like Hawk Hogan, but because they black, they were made jobbers. Lot's of kids would have bought a Bobby Walker t-shirt. WWE better give New Jack a job if they know what's good for them.

If you think hiring NEW JACK is going to disprove anything along these lines, you're nuts.

All those kids who would have bought Walker t-shirts just had to make do buying The Rock's.

The only way I could see New Jack having a full-time job with WWE is if they resurrected the hardcore title or did ECW v2.0. And even if they did hire him, Vince probably wouldn't pay for the rights to Natural Born Killaz, so half the fun of New Jack's schtick would be gone.

I read on 411mania that New Jack's proposed idea is for him to be the one who stabbed Cena in the nightclub, not Carlito or Jesus. It would fit perfectly for him. With his police record and all...

You know, New Jack is probably about as good in the ring as Bradshaw, and he's the friggin' WWE champion.
