Nah, there's no way this show is a stepping stone for her. I'm figuring (hoping) that she'll tone it down a bit going forward (and that this was just a case of throwing everything at the wall for the pilot), because she is adorable and funny.
Schmidt (Douchebag) was a mix of the bad parts of Dennis Reynolds and that one dude from Workaholics.
Speaking of Sunny in Philly, Nick (the bartender) looks and sounds like a normal, well-spoken, cleaned up, reasonably intelligent and sensitive Charlie Kelly. And because he's the anti-Charlie, he got to date The Waitress! I hope Mary Elizabeth Ellis is around a lot and that she's as good as she was on Perfect Couples.
This show will be good. I'm calling it.

So it would take a lot to get me back in high spirits.
Zooey's character is like a cross between SNL's Mary Katherine Gallagher and Glee's Rachel Berry. I like it. It didn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but it was tolerable.
I liked it slightly better than 2 Broke Girls, the comedy with my other backup wife-in-waiting Kat Dennings.

Plenty of people know. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/She_%26_Him
I'd say she's adorable. Singing songs to herself, about herself was funny to me.
And, I think EVERYBODY should have a "DOUCHEBAG JAR" in their home.

Sure he thought it was going to be canceled (who didn't, really) but then it picked up some steam and now they have to recast one of the leads for this.
It makes me wonder how long it will to last if they couldn't be bothered to re-shoot his scenes before it aired. Or, you know, just not air the pilot.

I read an article about the pilot that said they'll have a story to write out his character next week while introducing a new guy. I think it's a respectful and novel thing to do. It's at least better IMO than what they would do in these situations where they would redo the pilot or (usually and more likely) pretend nothing actually changed with the new actor.

Otherwise, me continue watching New Girl? No, thank you.

I seriously thought the show was starting with a Happy Endings crossover with Damon, guy who was in an ep of HE and kinda looks & sounds like chubby gay dude from HE so I thought he was chubby gay dude from HE and the other guy kinda looks like the other guy from HE. Then she didn't move on from that interview, I went on Wikipedia and got the knowledge.
Might check out another ep but it's doubtful at this point.
2 Broke was meh, Ringer & this were ok, not a great start for this new season.

I thought the same thing!
My main issue with the pilot was that I felt like I'd already seen 80% of it in the commercials. And that it felt like a romcom on fast forward.
But because I am a nerdy dude typing things on the Internet, I will continue to watch for Zooey.

The show works out perfectly if you just pretend that Zooey is, like, 70% less attractive than she actually is.
