I don't know what it is, maybe a combination of the animation style, writing, and voice direction, but I had a really hard time getting through the latest episode of this show. Is it just me? Is this show secretly funnier than Arrested Development and I just don't "get" it? I'd be interested in knowing if anyone actually finds this show entertaining.

Besides, I hear that Tim and Eric's website (timanderic.com) is a great place to waste a whole lotta time, too.

I agree that it's not "Oh! Super Milk-Chan" bad. But it's really, really bad. I wanted to like it, I really did. But I just can't. It's just not funny to me. And the animation gets on my nerves.
I'm fairly disappointed with Adult Swim right now. Robot Chicken is usually good for a couple laughs and I love the Venture Bros., but Sealab is starting to veer into "weird, not funny" territory, as opposed to "weird, but funny." We get it. Marco had sex with a shark. Ha ha ha. I've seen every episode of Family Guy and Futurama now, so basically there's only two shows _ Robot Chicken and the Venture Bros. _ that I look forward to anymore. | emma

I have a feeling that if there were an annoying-ness filter available, there might be a tiny kernel of amusement value somewhere; however, that's moot due to the annoyance factor. Hence, bad.
Tom goes to the Mayor is just plain, vanilla bad. Lame. Not funny. Nothing to look at here, let's move on. Totally ignorable. Hence, also bad.
Tough call, which is more bad: enthusiastic bad, or boring bad.

Absurd, but at the same time funny, if only for the Mayor and his massive leaps of logic. Plus Joy is pretty funny too. (I still don't understand why every woman on the show is fat, dumpy, and generally unattractive, though.)
Except for the WW Laserz episode. That was a pile of crap. | Zeruel

| #11 Posted on 23.4.05 0225.34 | Instant Rating: 4.05 | I keep hearing about how "Tom" is funny as hell and how I'm missing out on a great show. I like some of the AS lineup: Family Guy, Sealab, ATHF, Futurama, Robot Chicken. I haven't seen anything else that hasn't been in the 11p-12:30a timeslots.
These last couple of weeks, I've been seeing ads for the new season and they're just TOO homoerotic for me. Maybe I'm missing out on the greatest thing since sliced bread, but those ads turned me off.
