It's another light week because we should all be out there enjoying summer instead of inside watching DVDs - but hey, sometimes you gotta stay in where the air is conditioned, and you want NEW DVDs to watch - not them OLD ones!
So here's another 140 DVDs AND 31 Blu-rays and 7 "digital" titles if you'd rather download something to watch on the pooter. They're all coming out Tuesday except where noted with a date that isn't 7/10.
TV OF THE WEEK
Not a lot, but what we DO have is QUALITY!
The top seller of the week IS... Adventure Time: Complete First Season (The W at Amazon) (Cartoon Network, 2010) This show is apparently a MONSTER for Cartoon Network - will anybody here confess to having watched it so I can learn why?
Warehouse 13: Season Three (Syfy, 2011)
The Glades: Season 2 (A&E, 2011)
Father Dowling Mysteries: The Second Season (ABC, 1990)
Duck Dynasty: Season 1 (A&E, 2012) (2 DVD-Rs)
Doctor Who: Ep. 47 - The Krotons (BBC, 1968-9) The Doctor (Patrick Troughton), Jamie and Zoe meet the Gonds - and later, the Krotons Doctor Who: Death to the Daleks (BBC, 1974) SPOILER ALERT: The Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and Sarah Jane don't actually kill the daleks
The Big Bang Theory: The Complete First Season [Blu-ray] Blu-ray/DVD combo, even! The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Second Season [Blu-ray] Ditto!
iCarly: The Complete 4th Season (Nickelodeon, 2010-1)
Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series (Deluxe Edition) (ABC, 1966-71) Second edition of the 131 DVD, 1225 episode behemoth - all that differs from the original "limited edition" is this one isn't numbered, it doesn't include the Frid autographed postcard, and it's three hundred bucks less than the "collectors" are charging but nonetheless still THE MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM OF THE WEEK
Alice: The Complete First Season (CBS, 1976-7) With MEL! FLO! VERA! And...uh..oh yeah, ALICE! From Warner Archive (3 DVD-Rs) (7/12)

I'll be honest - I've heard of NONE of these, except this one I wish had never existed... American Reunion (2012) American Reunion (Two-Disc Combo Pack: Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet)
Margaret (Blu-ray/ DVD Combo) (2011) Anna Paquin, J. Smith-Camerson, Jean Reno, Jeannie Berlin, Allison Janney, matthew Broderick, Mark Ruffao, Matt Damon - includes theatrical and "extended" cuts and apparently the story of the editing (this film was filmed in 2005!) could be a movie in itself - no standalone DVD version available Margaret (digital release)
Being Flynn (2012) Robert De Niro, Paul Dano Being Flynn [Blu-ray]
The Flowers of War (Jin Líng Shí san Chai - China/Hong Kong, 2011) Christian Bale IS The Flowers of War [Blu-ray] The Flowers Of War (digital purchase)
CURIOSITY OF THE WEEK Song of the South (1946) Claims to be the never-released-on-DVD-because-someone-may-think-it's-racist Disney flick, but I have no idea how you release a Disney movie when you're not Disney without it being a bootleg, so hurry up and order it before Disney makes Amazon squash it (7/15)
Despicable Me Presents: Minion Madness (direct to video, 2010) Collectin of three mini-movies
KINO OF THE WEEK The Saphead: Ultimate Edition (1920) Buster Keaton (does not have much to do in this film) The Saphead: Ultimate Edition [Blu-ray] More info on this "ultimate edition" at Kino (kino.com)

Mercenary for Justice [Blu-ray] (direct to video, Aruba/USA/South Africa, 2006) Steven Seagal IS
...and here's the Warner releases You can tell most of these are brand new to Blu-ray (and that it's a slow week overall) because most of these hit the Top 24: Altered States [Blu-ray] The Astronaut's Wife [Blu-ray] Blade II [Blu-ray] Brainstorm [Blu-ray] Chariots of Fire [Blu-ray] Coma [Blu-ray] Frequency [Blu-ray] Outland [Blu-ray] Spawn [Blu-ray]

All In was originally about Chris Moneymaker, the catalyst of the recent "Poker Boom" in 2003, and was shown to some film festival in 2009 as a rough cut. The poker site domain seizures happened on April 15, 2011 ("Black Friday") and the filmmakers decided to re-do the movie to add Black Friday-related stuff.
The celebrities listed are there to blurb about how poker is an All-American game. The "core" of All In is Moneymaker's 2003 World Series of Poker main event victory plus the Black Friday fallout.
The movie's timeline goes beyond Black Friday all the way to about December 2011, if I recall correctly. By then, Full Tilt Poker was exposed by the DOJ as a "Ponzi scheme."
The filmmakers also complained about IMDb listing 2009 instead of 2012 as the movie's release. Per IMDb policy, whenever a movie is first shown to the public is year of release they list for the movie.
I wrote a review about the movie. It's an okay documentary, but it also omits the Ultimate Bet/Absolute Poker superuser scandal where some online players, like WSOP champ Russ Hamilton, could see other players' hole cards.

I'm still seeing it, but it really looks even more like a shady bootleg today.
