Hello friends! For Tuesday, we have this list of 123 DVDs, 35 Blu-ray and 7 pretend (digital) titles for the total of 165.

LET'S GO

PICK OF THE WEEK
With no other really swell choices, I went for the pro wrestling angle, of course...

Rikidozan: A Hero Extraordinaire (The W at Amazon) (Yeokdosan - Japan/South Korea, 2004) Yes, THAT Rikidozan. More info AND trailer at Pathfinder Pictures (ww.pathfinderpictures.com)

TV OF THE WEEK

Top selling TV of the week is...
Merlin: The Complete Third Season (BBC, 2010) Also aired here on Syfy

Sliders: The Fifth and Final Season (FOX, 1999-2000) Wow, it took almost FOUR years to close the books on "Sliders" - I blame Jerry O'Connell (for not being in this season)

Adam 12: Season Six (NBC, 1973-4) No info AT ALL on this set at Shout! Factory (shoutfactorystore.com)

Waking the Dead: Complete Season Six (BBC, 2007)

Delocated: The Complete Seasons One & Two (Adult Swim, 2009-10) Another one of those "you probably think this is the funniest show ever or you completely hate it" Adult Swim offerings. I really got into it in the second season, though, when Steve Cirbus joined and really stole the show playing it straight as Sergei Mirminski.

America in Primetime (WETA, 2011) More info and maybe watch it for free at PBS (pbs.org)
America in Primetime [Blu-ray]

Mad: Season 1 Pt. 2 (Cartoon Network, 2011) I must have took off the week part 1 came out...I'm assuming this is the second half of the season (episodes 14-26?)

Bill Moyers: Amazing Grace

Sunrise Earth Alaska DHD (HD Theater)
Sunrise Earth Alaska [Blu-ray]

Stormchasers: Greatest Storms Same as above?
Storm Chasers: Greatest Storms (Discovery)

4 Kid Favorites: Saturday Morning Cartoons - 1970s Two DVDs of, according to the cover: Hong-Kong Phooey, Yogi Bear, Josie and the Pussycats and Batman (no, THAT Batman) - probably random episodes?
4 Kids Favorites: A Pup Named Scooby-Doo Ugh...moving on
4 Kid Favorites: Saturday Morning Cartoons - 1960s This 2 DVD set has Quick Draw McGraw, Porky Pig (he had a show in the 1960s?), Space Ghost and Adam Ant
4 Kid Favorites: Baby Looney Tunes And then there's this

TV MOVIES OF THE WEEK

MOVIES OF THE WEEK

THE BIG ONES

The top selling movie is ALSO the top selling title overall as I type this...

"BIG" MOVIE OF THE WEEK
Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star (2011) Currently occupying a richly deserved spot in IMDb's Bottom 100: - may have set records for the ratio of movie quality to number of commercials I had to endure - notice it is NOT in the Top 24 as I type this: may it continue to fail!
Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star [Blu-ray]

Actually Courageous is about being a father. Fireproof (the firemen movie) was about being a husband. But in the sense that it was a religious movie, yes it was the same.

Girl in Captivity: Psycho Torture Chamber is an unfortunate title for a good film to have. Unfortunate that it sums up the film too simply. It's like calling Fargo 'Murder In a Small Town'. There is more to it then what the title tells you. Here's the trailer!

EDIT: Oops! Forgot that I wanted to also complain about this because the Japanese film industry is doing the same as the idiots over here, by remaking old films. This was originally made back in 1992 and for this remake, they add the word 'New' to the title. New Captive Runaway is the actual Japanese title.

Also, that Tokyo Train Girls series has already been released on DVD. Those are all re-releases. Yes, I'm a perv...

Sort of like [500] Days of Summer, except instead of meeting Zooey Deschanel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt meets cancer. Seth Rogen and writer Will Reiser's cancer tragi-comedy hits the funny bone, tugs at the heartstrings, and has it both ways.
