This week is a very weak 156 DVDs and 18 Blu-rays - really, there's probably less than 90 that are actually INTERESTING, but I list them all because I have a compulsion to do so.
Everything's out Tuesday 12/28...except the ones that aren't, which are noted with the release date in parentheses. I BELIEVE all of them that aren't out Tuesday are out in Saturday or later, which means 2011. Wow, where did the year go?
As usual, you can hover to find out Amazon's price (usually cheapest just PRIOR to release, so consider preordering!), and/or click to actually GO to the Amazon listing and possibly purchase (and put a dime or two in our tip jar in the process). If you'd like more information on any release, I have annotated most of the ones worth a darn - and several which are not - with my own observations as well as links to the relevant IMDb, tv.com, website and/or distributor information. If you're EVER bored, just start watching trailers...you'll either find something to occupy your time REALLY quick... or you'll become one of those guys who watches trailers all day. Yes.
Oh, one more thing. Some titles are in large italics! This means they're in the top 24 sellers as I generated this list. Now, granted, that's like 25% of this week's list, so it's not quite as useful a metric as it normally would be, but...again, I'm a creature of habit about this stuff.
But enough about MY idiosyncracies! Without further ado...let's find out what I could have possibly selected from this half-full basket and promoted to the top of the list as my
PICK OF THE WEEK
Jersey Shore: Season Two (Uncensored) (The W at Amazon) (MTV, 2010)  Honestly, I don't know what compels me to pick this - other than the absolute lack of ANYTHING else to pick...also, I've completely checked out this week. You will probably figure this out as we move along.
Jersey Shore: Season One & Two I must confess....since I never sprung for Season 1, I just put this on my wish list. (Hey, the price is right! Just...not for ME to pay it)
TV OF THE WEEK
REALLY light this week...
Archer: Season 1 (FX, 2010)  This probably should have been my pick of the week, only...well, I don't seem to like it as much as everybody else did (and clearly they did, as this is the top selling TV show of the week). Granted, it was FUNNY, at least occasionally, but I don't know if it was "I'm'a spend twenny to have it forever" funny the times that it WAS funny. Ultimately, I think....I think I'm missing "Frisky Dingo" a whole lot more than I previously realised.
