I'm really looking forward to seeing this. I don't know when they plan on making it availiable in the U.S. (what network, etc.), but they've already signed a deal with the CBC for Canadian broadcast (maybe some tape trading is in order).

I've loved this show since first seeing it on PBS growing up in Chicago in the 1970's. Jon Pertwee was always my favorite Doctor and the U.N.I.T. stories were classic.

Christopher Eccleston is a great choice to play the Doctor. I thought he was always excellent in Cracker and was very intense in his performance.

The show is supposed to start in the U.K. on BBC 1 on 3/26, and I'm very intrigued with what the show will be like (story-wise and production-wise).

I have a funny hunch that somehow it will be made available over the Internet. Wink, wink.

Here's sort of an update thread I wrote a long time ago with some information I tracked down:

And yes, I am super hyped about the return.

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Wherever it shows up in America, it probably won't be on the Sci-Fi Channel:

Which means it'll probably show up on Universal HD (as mentioned in the linked article) or BBCA, neither of which I get. Grr.
