So my best friend's mom told me she got my best friend a Wii for x-mas. All she picked up for her was an extra Wiimote. I doubt she got her another nun-chuck.
That is beside the point as I have 4 total and she can borrow one as I rarely play many 4-player games.
What I need is an idea for fun game for her as the last time she really gamed was on the NES and Tekken in the arcade and PS1. That's it.
Gore grosses her out, and she loves puzzle games and poker, apparently. She is addicted to the poker app on her phone.
I was thinking Big Brain Academy, but I was hoping for some other fun game ideas. The last Wii game I picked up was Super Mario Galaxy and I haven't really read a review of any other Wii game after that.
And, no, I don't think SMG would appeal to her, but the new Super Mario Bros might.

Do you know if she likes Wii Sports? You could get her Wii Sports Resort.
If they can access the internet with their Wii, you could also get her one of those 2000 Wii Points cards and let her buy a game on Wiiware or Virtual Console.
I think they made a Cooking Mama game for the Wii, that sounds like it would appeal to your friend.
Endless Ocean might be a good game to look into as well. You basically explore an ocean.

I don't think she's ever used a wii before. If she did, she never told me.
I guess also, what are some games that your wives/GFs have become addicted to and/or loved. I'm no help because most everyone I dated were pretty happy with Tennis and Bowling in Wii Sports.

She likes puzzle games, eh? And you want the fun. May I suggest;
Boom Blox. Click Here (en.wikipedia.org) for the details.
A fun game that appeals to several people, "casuals" included. The multi-player is pretty fun as well. I enjoyed it and several of my "casual" gaming friends (friends not into games) enjoyed it as well.

My girlfriend loves Animal Crossing: City Folk and De Blob. She also likes the Guitar Heros and the Rock Bands, but those are going to be pricey unless you find a good deal, since you'd need a guitar controller, at least.
Boom Blox is awesome. Its sequel, Boom Blox Bash Party, is even better. Highly recommended.
You should be able to find De Blob and the first Boom Blox for cheap, too.
To echo what was said before, New Super Mario Bros Wii would have very familiar controls for an NES gamer. Might be hard to find thise close to Christmas, though - I know it's been sold out here.
Godspeed, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Infantry, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, Wisconsin Army National Guard! Victory in Iraq!
Does she dig old-school game shows? How about Press Your Luck (The W at Amazon)? (Oh, crap, I forgot how again. Mods, can you modify this Amazon link so it makes The W some money?) { NOBODY will click on this - CRZ }
Thanks for the help everyone. I was finally able to get her gifts to her this past weekend due to various things getting in the way.
She wrote back that she loved what I picked out for her. Considering that Gamestop was a madhouse on x-mas eve, the best I could do was Boom Blox and that Wii Brain Academy game. She loves them both.
I also did pick up Wii Sports resort but I didn't even know if she loved Wii Sports itself so I kept it and sorta made that a x-mas gift to myself

So, I got my first issue of Computer Gaming Monthly after signing up for a free subscription back whenever. So far I haven't gotten any extra junk mail sent to the name I used for the subscription, but the magazine sucks.
