To save individual threads, here is where you could discuss all of thursdays games. I am not afraid to say it, March Madness on Demand is one of the best things about the internet. I loved being able to watch all these games.

I *HATE* the generic floors the NCAA has deployed to the pod sites. I can't imagine watching these in a bar where multiple games were going on and I was trying to view more than one game at a time. If the teams have similar colored uniforms in the various games, it could be really difficult to figure out which game you were watching (and not have to look down or strain to see the score of course). BOOOOOOOOO NCAA.
Otherwise I love these two days and the whole first weekend in general. Since my usual partner in crime is on the road this week, I went ahead and got the Mega March Madness on DirecTV for the first time.
Memphis had me deeply regretting picking them to go deep again this year. Hopefully that was a wake up call and they keep advancing for my poor bracket's sake!
LSU/Butler was a fun watch and No Iowa/Purdue and Maryland/Cal are shaping up as good to great too.

It wasn't really as bad as it looks - the score was there on the bottom of the screen all the time! Mostly, I'll take the generic floors over having to see two (or three) different three point lines.
Both Butler and Northridge just kinda ran out of gas with a few minutes to go. Northern Iowa too, really. We haven't gotten that true down to the wire game yet.

Hope you didn't have your hopes pinned on Tennessee-Chattanooga. Sweet merciful crap, and that's without Thabeet or Price starting. (Hm, wonder why.) We'll see how they do against less overmatched opposition, though.

Add American to the list. Up 11 with 11 to go against 'Nova, and that was it.
As for the late upset hopes, well, Binghamton's only down 3 against Duke at the first media timeout, but Duke may already be in the bonus, as there's either 6 or 7 team fouls already for BU.

Funny enough, in a genius scheduling move by the tournament, tomorrow's late games have both Cleveland State and Ohio State at the SAME TIME. Amazingly enough, the local stations have arranged for the CSU game to be on CBS Channel 19, while their sister station Channel 43 will show the OSU game. (Of course, this is also going to pre-empt SmackDown until after the game.)
Akron had such a nice start against Gonzaga but apparantly packed it up at the half. Damn.

Happens to us in the 'Ville all the time with Kentucky (well, not this year), Louisville, Indiana (Louisville is also known locally as Kentuckiana and again, not this year), and Western KY routinely making the tournament. The local cable (ptui!) company has their stuff together and has put a second game on the digital channels and if there is a direct conflict they usually make an arrangement with the local CW or MyTv affiliate to broadcast the IU or WKU game if on at the same time as the "true" local teams.
Had a fun first day, looking forward to an even more exciting second day!

I did alright (12 for 16), considering I had no real method to my selections. I had the four I picked wrong (BYU, Mississippi State, Cal, and Minnesota) going out in the second round anyway, so my bracket is still healthy in the long-term.

http://www.nba.com/nba_tv/nbatv_trainingcamps_050928.html I've had it on for about five minutes at a time but there's never been a team on I was really INTERESTED in watching. It looks like it might be good program to have on in the background.
