God DAMN, the Canadians are smoking the good ol USA in Olympic coverage by having the gumption, the gall, and the willpower to bring me live moguls competition. Screw you, NBC, and your "plausibly live" BS. Bring me the good stuff, dammit, I see moguls on CBC and talk shows on NBC. F that.
Plus, I'm guessing you don't have to watch Bob Costas. What a jackass he's been. I wanted to reach through my set and strangle him Saturday night when he was going to the medals plaza. I need one of them bootleg Bell Express-Vu's.
Bob Costas is Sinspawn, I guarantee it. The evil whale-man will be back to claim that which is bad and unclean soon. The a-hole WOULD NOT SHUT UP during the opening ceremonies. I simply can't hang with that.
It should be said that CBC were pretty bad about speaking during the Opening Ceremonies, as well. "Well, this is a moment that words just can't describe"
Buy a clue Peter and shut the fuck up!
(All of that said, CBC was much better about actually shutting up than NBC.)
Yeah, and their jingoism over Sale/Pelletier was unbearable today during my freaking moguls. Had the Canadians been slightly more daring and edgy in their long program instead of putting out their performance, they would have won the gold. You don't play it safe when you're behind and the leader shows a chink in their armor, you press the advantage. That's what the Russian team did, they pressed their lead, and outside of the one miss, they ran a very good performance, much more difficult and creative than the Canadians.

Why is it they felt we needed a play-by-play of the ceremonies anyway? Would play-by-play enhance my experience if I went and saw "Cats"? Please!
And here's a funny bit...The AP is reporting that 'fireplace' behind Costas during his evening babble-fest is in fact a VIDEO. That's just beautiful.
There was an article, yesterday I think, about the guy who designed the set and the "virtual fireplace" in McPaper.
I remember when the video log was just a cheesy thing stations did on Xmas, not a hip and hi-tech set decoration.

My MacBook Pro running Firefox 3 and OS 10.5.2 didn't have any problems. An upgrade to Flash, perhaps? I thought the Pop/Rock category was insanely easy - and the indie/alternative was more alternative than indy. Fun game though.
