Anyway, kudos to those who are givin' love to my Pacers, including the two championship predictions... and shame on those who swear the Celtics are gonna win. Sure, the Celtics may have beaten us last year, but that was back when... you know... they had a team.
It's not so much that the c's "don't have a team" as much as Indy having... you know... a real coach this time.
And as for Simmons, I have to wonder if Ricky Davis once stiffed him for an autograph or something. Ricky did have a bad rep but as far as a few instances of showboating (Ricky, the Laker game wasn't a continuation of the dunk contest  ), he's played in a team concept and accepted coming off the bench.
I really don't think Simmons has watched the C's as much as he says he has. With Ricky, it seems he's becoming to him what Dan Shaughnessy is to Pedro, which is always looking for something to rip him for and no matter how well he plays, it isn't good enough. Which is a shame because Simmons most brilliant stuff was early on in his DigitalCity/Boston days when he regularly would rip on and point out the hyposcrosy of sports columnists like that.
