And since when do the Pistons get their asses kicked like that two games in a row? They need to find some way to get back in this series, because right now they're being PWNED~! by the Spurs.

The Spurs have dominated 2 straight games now, and it absolutely kills Hubie Brown to say anything positive about them....he is terrible. Put Walton back with Michaels...he's a lot more bearable to listen to.
I picked Spurs in 5 to begin the series, and so far, I really like my spot...although I am wondering if I gave the Pistons too much credit.

Well, I would say they did that last night. Looks like the Spurs aren't the only ones who can win by 15+ points on their home floor.

Pistons 102, Spurs 71. Write that one down and shove it up your heine.

The games really are boring. They're so boring I watched Irene Cara try to dance on "Hit Me" last night before I switched to the game. Once I had switched to the game, I made it four minutes before I dozed off.
It's not that they're boring. Pistons/Pacers last year is an example of a series between two defensive-oriented teams in which the games are exciting and well-played. These games are pathetic, with teams taking entire quarters or halves off in THE NBA FINALS. It's just awful basketball to watch. Not even fundamentally solid.
Once again.....Big Shot Bob Horry. This series is over.
"You can look the other way once, and it's no big deal, except it makes it easier for you to compromise the next time, and pretty soon that's all your doing; compromising, because that's the way you think things are done. You know those guys I busted? You think they were the bad guys? Because they weren't, they weren't bad guys, they were just like you and me. Except they compromised... Once." -- Jack Bauer
Well, that certainly wasn't boring. Both teams busted their asses tonight and Tim Duncan's free throw shooting nearly cost the Spurs, but Big Shot Bob strikes again.
3-2 Spurs going back to San Antonio. Tall order for Detroit to keep the O'Brien. Not over till someone gets to 4.
"The way I feel right now, I'd trade my mother if the right deal came along." -- Isiah Thomas.
When setting up the defense of the final shot, was Larry Brown focusing on whether he wants to be President of the Cavs, coach of the Knicks or teach the game of basketball to eskimos, as telling guys not to double off of Horry might have been something to mention in the huddle. If the Spurs had lost, Duncan would have worn the goat horns, blowing 3 free throws late in regulation and not being able to make the catch in the paint in the last minute of overtime. A few tenths of a second more in regulation, and Chris Webber would have gotten off the hook for performing the dumbest act in basketball history for a team from the state of Michigan. Wallace not knowing how many time-outs were left at the end of regulation makes you wonder if Larry Brown forgot to tell his team that information because a scouting position had opened up on Neptune and he has always been interested in finding talent from there.
I don't think anything's over yet, but Horry sure stuck a pretty big dagger in the Pistons. He certainly has a flair for the dramatic.
Winning 2 in a row in San Antonio will be tough, but I think the Pistons can do it. If anything, they'll put up a much bigger fight than in Games 1 & 2. This morning its tough to be a Pistons fan, but I guess it could be a lot worse - I could be a Celtics fan.

The Spurs have lost four games at home all year, including the playoffs. I don't think they're going to lose half-again as many this week.
Then again, if the Red Sox can come back from 0-3...

Rasheed, thou art a dumbass. You of all people on that Pistons team should know - don't leave Robert Horry unguarded at the three-point stripe. I'm sure he's had a hand in killing a number of your 'ol Blazer teams, eh? God, it felt like the Laker dynasty was rolling again watching that...
Tallest of orders for the champs, as the Spurs have been all but unbeatable at home this year. Then again, if any team can go into enemy territory with their backs to the wall and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, it's the Pistons. (Don't believe me? Ask Jason Kidd.)
I'll be pulling for you guys every step of the way. (I prefer real teams instead of star collections like the Spurs are.)
smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Downgraded from High; April 4, 2005) Batista & John Cena represent instant upgrades over their predecessors as world champions. However, there's still a general state of backlash around Cena and a specific state over the way he won (however misguided it may be), and the usual tag/cruiserweight complaints persist. The rematches should be interesting, however...

Whaaaa??? The Spurs have Tim Duncan and... who? in their "star collection". Hell, I think after last year the Pistons have more "stars" than the Spurs - the Wallaces and Tayshaun Prince come to mind, anyway. It's not like the Spurs are the Lakers of last year or the Nets or Pacers of this year.
(Don't get me wrong, I think the world of Manu and Horry, but even still, sheesh!)

Gino's a star at this point. Tony Parker THINKS he is but he isn't, Tim Duncan IS and downplays it, but Manu definitely has made The Leap this season from complimentary player to star player.
But that doesn't make San Antonio a "star-team", per se.
