I know there probably aren't a lot of hip-hop fans here, but I thought it was worth posting anyway. Nate Dogg was T-Pain before there was T-Pain but without any of the gimmickry or computer tricks. Just a fantastic voice. The list of R&B singers and rappers who featured him on at least one of their songs is a who's who of R&B and hip-hop. He had a great voice, and he helped make a lot of fun songs.
The article points out that he was a former marine, a multiple time Grammy nominee, and an unfortunate multiple stroke victim. I don't think I saw cause of death or suspected cause of death, but I guess he wasn't in the best of health. Very sad.

As somebody recently said, "In the 1990s, it wasn't a hook if it wasn't Nate Dogg."
RIP to the smoothest part of the West Coast rap game.
