Exceprts from a new interview at IGN.com, where Kevin Nash makes the following lies comments:

IGNFF: Have you gotten better about your self-criticism over the years?

NASH: As you do it longer, you can watch a match – it could be a flawless match and at the 23-minute mark you throw one half-assed punch that kind of looks fake, and you go, "Awwww, see! That's brutal, right there! I lost 'em!"

Yeah, that's where he lost them. After the 23 minute mark.

IGNFF: How exactly did that happen? (He got stabbed on the set of The Punisher)

NASH: I guess one of the stunt coordinator guys didn't change the real butterfly with the retractable. And he went "shh shh shh shh" and he just looked at me. I'm not going to go, "Jesus!" because I don't want to kill the scene.

Funny, that didn't stop you from doing that during your 10-man match on Raw a couple of years ago.

IGNFF: So at this point, is your wrestling career effectively over?

NASH: I don't think anyone ever really... I mean, when people say, "I'm retired" in wrestling it's just like... I don't think you ever really retire from this. I could have worked at Wrestlemania after not working for 8 months and probably worked as well as half the guys out there. So I don't think you ever really retire. I mean, I don't think I'll ever work that kind of 150-160 day schedule ever again.

I'm sure Vince was disappointed that Nash didn't make himself available for 'Mania, showing those worthless kids a thing or two about how it's REALLY done.

IGNFF: How much does it change your outlook, having a kid and realizing that it's not just you you're taking care of?

NASH: A lot of people would say that after he was born I became lazy, but I just became very super-cautious.

Yeahhh...

IGNFF: But that with the younger guys now, it's all about, "What can I do to put myself over and advance my career?"

NASH: Absolutely. And I think one of the things that's doing it is that these guys now think they work a lot, but we used to work 25-27 days a month back when I was in the WWF the first time. If I was wrestling Scott Hall and on day 4 of a 17-day run I land him wrong on his rib and he's sore, we've got to keep working. I just think it's so different now with these guys...

Funny, I thought you DID work for WCW during the late-90's...

IGNFF: Do you think the younger wrestlers don't appreciate that it is a job... That yes, there's glitz and glamour if you get the brass ring, but there's also a daily grind?

NASH: I think another thing that's also lost is that I don't think the guys are a team like we were. We had our cliques, but everybody went out to draw money together, and we policed each other.

See above smart-assed comment.

IGNFF: (Talking about the WWF version of the nWo) So it was twisting the knife...

NASH: We came in, the house show revenue went up, the pay-per-view that we came out was like the highest rating that that pay-per-view had ever done by a huge amount of buys. We did what we were supposed to do – we came in and popped the place.

I'll have to double check the reports that said no Way out and WrestleMania X-8 were among the highest ratings ever... or maybe he's referring to last year's Bad Blood...

IGNFF: So, in other words, most of the fans... Referring to Gewertz and the current staff

NASH: (laughing) But I just never understood how the people that are in the creative room – I'm just thinking to myself, "And your credentials are? Let me see what you wrote for. Saturday Night Live? Have you written for The Drew Carey Show? Oh, one episode? Great, let's have you aboard."

Words from the man who booked HIMSELF to end Goldberg's streak.

IGNFF: There's another guy who's making the transition...
(HHH)

NASH: He's been pulling that wagon up there for a lot of years. I mean, he's by far – and not because he's one of my best friends – he's head and shoulders above anybody else over there on a day-by-day basis, with work, promos... I mean, that's the way I feel. I just think it's taking its toll on him. He needs some time just to chill.

Hey wait, I agree with him! On the very last sentence.

Full of himself? Damn right! Have you seen his website? Check it out for a laugh.

http://www.kevinbigsexynash.com/

A few things you will notice:

1) Mr. Nash is always referred to as "Mr. Nash". Never as Kevin. Well, la-dee-da! Who does he think he is?

2) The website makes it perfectly clear that "Mr. Nash" wants to have absolutely nothing to do with his "fans". Check this out:
"Q: How can I get in touch with Kevin Nash?
"A: The best way to contact Mr. Nash for anything other than fan related comments and requests is to forward them to WebKat. All emails, letters, etc. are sorted by WebKat staff and forwarded to Mr. Nash AS NECESSARY." (From http://www.kevinbigsexynash.com/)

3) Check out all the "links" on his website! None of them have any personal meaning to Mr. Nash. None of them have anything to do with making the website more informative or enjoyable for his "fans". They're all paid advertisements. I especially like the Poetry contest link from the International Library of Poetry, the famous vanity-scam for wannabe scribes that bilks people out of their money so they can "get published". Yeah, I'm sure your average Nash fan is smart enough to be the next William Butler Yeats, but dumb enough to fall for this crap. What pray tell does this have to do with Big Sexy? Nada. That's what.

4) Does he care enough about his fans to keep the website updated? Well, check this out:
"Q: Who takes the photographs of Kevin?
"A: At this time, the only photos used on this website have been provided by WCW Magazine or supplied by Ross Forman."
Uh, yeah....(from http://www.kevinbigsexynash.com/)

5) He not only owns the name "Big Sexy", he actually uses it...to refer to himself! Full of himself? Naw!

Good post, Bulldog. :)

Mr. Nash?

Seriously, I think it might just be their way of being professional. You don't go to a web page for Trump Towers and see them write "Sometimes Trump comes by" (or maybe you do). Remember that A LOT of our websites are done by fans that are very casual about content.

I hate to bring this up, but you're bitching about how he doesn't want to be reached by his fans, but then your example clearly says "other than fan related comments" which tells me they're talking about any type of business contact.

I went there and clicked on "Favorite Website Links" and I got about 5 that had his favorite charity, the people who put his site together, and 1wrestling.com. Then below that I got about 20 or so official sites for other wrestlers, which his fans would probably want to check out.

You call yourself simply "Silton", I call myself "Tribal Prophet", and you just congradulated a guy who calls himself "Canadian Bulldog".

Seriously guys, you're trying to make Kevin Nash look bad. It shouldn't be this hard!!! Just post the original comments and we would have made up our own minds (and probably have been on your side) but the catty remarks just seem so desperate and high school girls washroom gossipy.

Same thing here. My real name is "Canadian" Bill Dog.

Re: the Nash interview, was just having some fun. Hell, I agreed with him on some of his points (just not the ones that I posted). Wasn't offended by what he said or anything, just thought it was worth pointing out, given how much he's hurt, not helped the business, ever since the nWo concept fell apart.

I don't think he's saying that the No Way Out that they returned at was the highest rated ppv, he's saying it was the best rating that No Way Out has ever done. Which i'm pretty sure is accurate, although not THAT great an accomplishment.

Anyway, I thought it was a good read. Especially the part that the interview was actually about, the movie THe Punisher. He made some good points about how acting and wrestling are different. And even though some of his views on the wrestling part was biased I don't blame him. I mean what's he supposed to say? Everything I ever did sucked?

February buyrates

1998 (No Way Out of Texas): 0.52
1999 (St. Valentine's Day Massacre): 1.21
2000 (No Way Out): 1.2
2001 (No Way Out): 1.31
2002 (No Way Out): 1.10
2003 (No Way Out): 0.9

I'm not for sure on this, but I don't THINK the PPV universe broadened enough in one year that a 1.10 in 2002 was better than a 1.31 in 2001.

This kinda seems like Nash goofing around and trying to piss off as many wrestling fans as possible with comments he knows are asinine. We've seen his attitude in the past, and whilst he's a big idiot who loves to self-promote, he's not delusional. Remember his "You guys are going to have to stake me to get rid of me" web commentary?

What you said.

Also, the whole thing was just seven pages long. Just bringing up the points I found amusing.

Scottie: thanks for those buyrates. Like I said, their appearance wasn't even a record for that MONTH, and considering the previous year was headlined by, what, Rock-Angle (which wasn't a bad match, but they had already fought numerous times before), that's no huge accomplishment.

Rock-Angle, and, of course (perhaps more importantly?), HHH-Austin 3 stages of hell. Both stronger than Jericho-Austin, to be fair.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed No Way Out 01. Quite a bit. I just don't think Nash should be bragging about topping PPV rates (either for that event, or for all in history), when (a) they didn't, and (b) they had the advantage of basically debuting on that show, and couldn't do better than the previous year's event, which hasn't a TERRIFIC buyrate to begin with.

how people can even ARGUE with the original post having validity is beyond me...Nash is a walking, talking, shmoz. He gets injured breathing. Maybe if he wasn't so pumped up with steriods back in his first run, his body wouldnt be falling apart on him now.

and "canadian" Bill Dog, i think you need to go by that moniker from now on. Funny stuff Bill!

Stilton, you hate Nash, thats fine and dandy but nothing you pointed out about his website seemed to justify this reputation of his.
The interview was nice, I don't think he's dumb and I don't think he belives himself to be some saviour of the business. He obviously likes to bait his detractors and its kind of funny. Is he supposed to just agree with everything the web says and fault himself for all of the business' woes? Come on he's not hurting anyone right now.

Gosh, darkmatcher, you're right. I mean I never really looked at it that way. I suppose I should have. Gee whiz, I really hope I didn't hurt Mr. Nash's feelings, because then I guess I'd feel, well, darn it, just plain awful about it. I think I'll make it up to him by sending him $25 so I can be a member of his fanclub, and then I can even get a discount on the Platinum autographed edition of his "ultra cool" comic book, where cyborg Kevin Nash saves the poor people from the rich establishment in the year 2023, which is only $99.95 anyway. I guess that means the comic books must be made of actual platinum then, huh?

Here, check this out and tell me this guy doesn't need a little bit of the wind taken out of his sails.

Dawg, calm down. What are you so bitter about? Nash is a businessman first. Was he supposed to say "No, don't make a comic book based on me and pay me for it, because I didn't wrestle well!" What should he do, starve? He's forty-seven feet tall and there's not much a person like him can do in this world, so if he can find an angle and work it to provide for himself, I say all the more power to him. There are people like Nash in all walks of life. People who are smarter than the rest of the crowd and get ahead because of it, even if they're not the best at their jobs. It doesn't make them scumbags. Chris Benoit is the guy who works in the factory, is better than everyone else and tries to play fair but is too trusting and ends up getting fired one day before retirement. Kevin Nash is the guy that works in the factory for a year and is management within two. It's easy to feel for old benoit getting fired and receiving no benefits, but life isn't designed for the dumber among us to succeed. It's the people who see openings and take them who end up telling others what to do.

And in any case, I can think of at least four hundred and thirty seven ways in which Nash sucks less than Randy Orton.

I'd tell you to kiss my ass, but I don't want to get it infected.
