Do you all really think they'll bring back Nash as Diesel? Diesel was one of the lowest-drawing champs of the modern era. I think Nash was much more popular as himself in WCW than as Diesel in the WWF.

I will say it again - Nash on TV is better than no Nash at all. I don't care what his character is, just bring my man back!

I think that Nash did become alot more well known while in WCW just because they were at the top of the ratings game during that time. Since most of the gimmicky names are also pretty passe, I doubt that they'd bring him in as just Deisel. I think that HHH acknowledged them as "Scott Hall and Kevin Nash" during the shooty type interviews with JR at the outset of his big push in summer 99, and Shawn referred to them both by name on Excess. If anything it'll be a combination of "Diesel, Big Daddy Cool, Big Sexy" Kevin Nash.

They gotta bring these back!!!:
"talk to the hand because the man don't understand." - "The Crippler" Chris Benoit
"...and that is the LAST WORD." - "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight
and of course: "Don't hate the playa...HATE THE GAME~!" - WCW World Champion Booker T

Maybe "Big Sexy Cool Diesel Nash"?

That vaguely sounds Japanese.

Anyway, I just think that some of us "smart marks" are too "smart" for our own good. I mean, does anyone seriously think that they'll re-form the "Kliq" as a stable?

Well, if I remember correctly from a Ross Report from a few weeks ago, he said X-Pac was pretty much ready to go again, but they were allowing him to take his time to be sure. Which could be translated as we only want him to return when we can have that huge Kliq reunion.

I can almost hear HHH say it (after getting screwed in the Rumble by someone who has some more wrestlers as back up, let's say Y2J and his Canadian buddies Test, Christian and Lance.)
"I said it once before, back in 1998..when you look for help you turn to your blood...you turn to...the Klique-uh.."

As for Nash, expect him to cut some big promos upon his return only to slowly die in the ring.
Do you think he can actually still make the over the top rope entrance?

Imagine this is some funny signature. Then I will imagine you compliment me on it.

Bringing back The Pooch as Diesel would be about as effective as if Triple H walked out to Ode To Joy on Monday and starting bowing all over the place.

Eh, they'd still mark for that. "WOW! Look, Triple H walked out to the ring! And he's a priss again, but he sure can still squash Angle! HUZZAH!" (Me = bitter.)

Anyway, I don't think that the "Here's my buddies" card would want to be played by the WWF or H himself, considering how he's this Ultra Badass now, and Ultra Badasses don't hang out with other guys whose idea of getting over is to do cutesy promos, be they face OR heel.

And Nobody Fucking Ever should refer to Nash as "sexy" in any way ever again.

Ever.

Ah, but it would be great storyline fodder, along the lines of what they were trying to do with Chazz (sorry. habit) a couple of years back. He could be that "ultra cool face" rebelling against Vince who "told" him he could only come back as Deisel and FORCED the character on him -- like he did to "poor Dustin and Curt." And then he comes out on the next show as Kevin Nash and McMahon "fires" him or whatever. Instant, easy storyline.

Nash was a Nobody in WCW (Previous run, Oz, Vinnie Vegas), then came to the WWF and became a star. If not for what VInce did I doubt he'd have been offered a contract to return.
Now I think, in the post cartoon Era, Nash will sell far better than Diesel.
Of course is it a lock that he's returning?

I mean he has to want to come back, and let's face it, Vince ain't stupid, Nash is a great draw when he's on, but he does have a Tendency to get lazy, and it usually shows. His whole Big Poochie attitude not withstanding, he is somewhat reknowned, at least on the Net Rumors, for being a bad influence back stage, as far as morale goes.
If he does come back, It'll probably be on Vince's Terms.

As for Name, Kevin Nash, but I think Big Daddy Cool, may come up now and then.

LoL.... the tried and true?.... diesel lost momentum towards the end of his run in the WWF ... last i checked Nash had a huge following whenever and wherever he showed up on WcW. it's a given.... the guy can draw fans and cut a great promo.....

dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!

I think they could have some fun with this if they spoofed the whole `who's behind the mask' gimmick. As in, everyone knows its Hogan, but McMahon can never quite prove it. And then, once that gimmick has run its course, he can always run for Senator...
