Looks like we'll soon be seeing Jack Black make an appearance on Smackdown! to promote his new film, Nacho Libre. They've got him up as a Smackdown! superstar already!
For some reason, I feel like this is a good time to reflect on the fact that WCW once made a less-talented Jack Black type their world heavyweight champion.

True...I was wondering if they were going to promote the movie considering it dives into mexican wrestling with comedic stylings. Sort of wish Jack Black wasn't doing it but then again the story seem to wierd good natured funny.

David Arquette is no way a Jack Black type. And WWE is in no way WCW.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

I dunno, they're both slapsticky Jews (bet you didn't know that!) who make funny faces, do stupid voices and fall down a lot but get surprisingly good reviews for their occasional forays into serious acting. If a director wanted Black but couldn't afford him, I bet he'd go straight to Arquette. Arquette sucks and I've never enjoyed a single thing I've seen him in, but that doesn't make them different types. Black is just way better at what he does.
But no, WWE is not WCW. Seeing Jack Black as a Smackdown! superstar just makes me think about the fact that WCW wouldn't have thought twice about giving him the big gold belt.
But we saw Batista destroy Hassan AND Davari on RAW after he got punked by Triple H. Where's the rationale that Hassan would fare any better when Batista's defending his title? A Hassan vs.
