I love video games, and I find that I have my next games pretty much set as it relates to the winter months of 2010. I don't ever regiment it like this, but I feel I need to (especially as I get some extra time off at work). So this is how it works:

Just finished GTAIV- The Lost and The Damned.

This week/weekend- Work on GTAIV- The Ballad of Gay Tony

Week of 1/18- Replay the first Mass Effect game

Week of 1/25- Buy and play Mass Effect II (comes out 1/26)

Week of 2/1- Replay Bioshock 1

Week of 2/8- Buy and play Bioshock 2 (comes out 2/9)

Then basically play those two games and New Super Mario Bros. Wii until Lego Harry Potter comes out in March.

So, has anyone ever regimented their video game playing like this? Or simply, do you plan on buying or renting ME2 or Bioshock 2?

I actually have no desire to play Bioshock 2. The first was amazing and different and I feel the second one may water down (no pun intended) the original. If the second one isn't as good I may look at the series as tainted.

I just finished Bayonetta and that game was pure bliss. I want to spend more time collecting the treasures and costumes. Then I believe I'm going to play some Demon's Souls until March when I go poor buying FFXIII and God of War 3.

Back on topic, though, I have regimented my time like this. Usually when all the big games start coming out in the fall I decide which ones I want for Christmas and then start renting or buying the other ones and play them until the holiday hits.

Add Bayonetta into your regimen, though. That game is just flat-out fantastic.

I'll be getting ME 2 as soon as I get a new video card. That may be a while, though... (lucky for me I've got Dragon Age to keep me busy...)

I just got a PS3 for Christmas, so my time is spent going back and forth between the only two games I have right now: Arkham Asylum and Ghostbusters. (I'm also playing a bit of MadWorld on Wii.)

I don't know when I'll get around to any new or even recent games. Based on demos I've downloaded, my next purchases will most likely be the first Uncharted and BioShock.

I can't really schedule my game time now that we have the baby. It's more like "Ooh! A free half-hour! I'd better play something fast!"

I consider myself to be a HUGE Mass Effect fan, so saying that I'm pumped for Mass Effect 2 is an understatement and a half. I'm playing through the game again for my fifth time to ready myself for the 26th, when that will be ALL I'll play until I 100% complete it. I'm actually buying two copies of the game in order to get all the preorder bonuses, then returing one. The tough part will be deciding which save file to port over to the new one.

I manage a Game Crazy, so my holidays were filled more with selling games than playing them. Now that we've slowed down a bit, I'm catching up on Uncharted 2, Dragon Age Origins, Dead Space Extraction, Bayonetta, and Little Big Planet PSP. I've got more stuff right now than I even have time to play, and the next month or so is gonna make it even more difficult. MAG releases the same day as ME2, then Final Fantasy 13 and God of War 3 in March, and Splinter Cell: Conviction in April.

I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with Bioshock 2, because I also fear that it'll cheapen the original Bioshock. The recent multiplayer trailers are increasing my worries. Dante's Inferno looks good, I just have to decide if it's worth the money when it effectively plays EXACTLY like God of War, and only releases a couple weeks before the new one.

One game I know I'll avoid like the plague is Dark Void... Anyone play the demo? It controls so unbelievably poor. I can see now why the hype machine died down as it got closer to release. Darksiders was a nice surprise, I think that if it came out a month ago it would have sold even better because of a lack of big holiday releases. Now, it and Bayonetta can't help but be somewhat lost in the shuffle.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I gave up after destroying two of the three communication towers. I could never find the third one because it kept moving behind me on the radar when I would start flying toward it. WTF?

Yeah, I had the same targeting issues and actually got past that to some ground-level combat, and it doesn't get any better without the jetpack. The enemies are all stupid, there are some major hit-detection issues, and the actual gameplay is so generic. The game has been in development for a long time, and all they have to offer is a gimmicky jetpack/flying system that doesn't even work? I kinda pity the devopers for putting so much work into something that's barely playable.

Mass Effect 2 is my huge one, but the next two months are jam packed.

-Bioshock 2 (Though I'm not sure I really like the direction it's going to go)
-Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor
-Heavy Rain
-Final Fantasy XIII

All those things will take me forever to finish, much less that I'll probably end up playing Mass Effect 2 four times to push through all my playthroughs from ME.

Edgeworth is going to be great for playing on my vacation in April, so I'll probably buy it the day it comes out, just in case, but I'll defer it so that I can finish Mass Effect and Heavy Rain.

Edit: I completely spaced on FF even coming out. I'll probably end up sitting on it until this summer.

- Aion (PC). Level 44 (on the Ariel server - Melchior is the character name) and still enjoying it. Considering there is a continual fee involved, this gets worked into my game rotation regardless of the other games I am playing.

- Got together with the guys and we played New Super Mario Bros. Wii. After 10 minutes we immediately decided that every time we get together NSMBW will be played.

- Got Castle Crashers on a half off sale over Christmas. That's seeing some solid action right now.

- Final Fantasy IV for the DS for my travels.

- Arkham Asylum (360) will be played eventually.

You know, I really don't know what to put here. Close your eyes and thank of something funny!

You can port over up to 11 saves from what I understand, so the problem shouldn't be which one to port as much as which one to port first.

I'm glad to see all the ME love on this board. That is one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm happy about the love for ME as well. I have probably said it before, but when I bought the 360, I had to choose between ME and Devil May Cry 4. ME was an unknown quantity, but I went with it anyways (also heard the DMC4 was pretty difficult).

The first time I played ME, I actually couldn't understand the controls fully, and it played slow to me after playing Halo 3. I gave up, but came back to ME and decided to give it another shot. After that, I realized this was an amazing game, with a rich mythology and repetitive qualities that actually was still fun to play.

And now I'm more jacked for ME2 than the new Metroid (which is a huge switch as I'm the biggest Metroid mark I know).
