Err, I forgot to do this last night. I blame the need for sleep which was probably caused by BEER

Coming off a cold, I tried not to pick anything too difficult for my "I had a cold!" voice - of course, I then realised I didn't know the words to...

"Wrapped Around Your Finger" in the style of the Police
"Steppin' Out" in the style of Joe Jackson
"Bizarre Love Triangle" in the style of New Order

I'll try to be more entertaining next time

We have a bar here that does PORNAOKE. They play porn and we sing infront of the screen.

A friend of mine was doing CHINA GIRL a few weeks ago and behind him, of course, was a scene with Asia Carrera. It was slightly surreal.

The guy that runs it it a total freak, needless to say...

That's an absurdly good combination of tracks right there.

First, proof that Sting was once involved with great music. There's an entire generation out there that has no idea.

You've got Jackson, who I think is underappreciated in general; Steppin' Out may be a keyboard track, but that bassline will not be denied. And the melody is one of the best of the era.

And Bizarre Love Triangle needs no explanation. The Depeche Mode/New Order "Strange Love Triangle" mix is a permanent resident on my mp3 player.

How you sang them with a "cold voice" I wouldn't even care to speculate.

My God, yes!

I've loved this song for years, but only recently discovered the title. It played often at the supermarket where I worked, back in the day. I would ask customers for the title every time it came on, but no one knew. Finally, my dear mother of all people came to my rescue with the proverbial 411.

I heartily, heartily approve, CRZ. And I say this not having heard it.

Catch The Thrill on "Pick of the Week": taped Tuesdays at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI; on the air Sundays @ 1 am on WB-14!

BIG ups on the Joe Jackson, CRZ. Next, give "Is She Really Going Out With Him" a try...and not the Sugar Ray crap version.

As for the The Police goodness...I would expect that from a man with your musical tastes. Well played, Beloved DictatOR.

Now can you do it on TV a'la yours truly? (The W)

Star wipe, and...we're out.

Sadly, that one isn't in the book. I used to do that one frequently back in Modesto and could always coax the crowd participation on the "Look over there!" "WHERE?!" part.

I've already done "Breaking Us In Two" - they have one more Joe Jackson song. If I could remember what it was, I'd tell you!

I'd be willing to bet it's "Real Men".

I just know I'm going to end up coming home from the city on Tuesday with Joe Jackson and Police CDs...

You know, I THOUGHT that was it, but I also thought "if that WAS it, how come I haven't done it yet?" because that's quite a showpiece. :)
