My brother-in-law's monthly filmfest ended unexpectedly early when one of his DVDs was found to be unplayable by the player at the pub, so we headed over to the usual haunt for STARAOKE, and since it was another empty Tuesday, despite being over an hour late we still got to put in three...and these are three I probably had no business doing:
"Nice 'n' Easy" by Frank Sinatra "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" by Traffic (HI FLEA) "6 Underground" by Sneaker Pimps
According to allmusic.com , Traffic was a British group formed in 1967 and disbanded in 1975. "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" reached #7 on the Billboard charts in 1972. Their highest charting single was 1994's (when they rebanded) "Here Comes A Man", which hit #10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
Also according to allmusic.com , the Sneaker Pimps are a British Trip-Hop band that was formed in 1995. Their first album "Becoming X", reached #1 on the Billboard Heetseekers chart in 1997, but I'm not sure what that means because they only reached #111 on the Billboard Top 200. "6 Underground" and "Spin Spin Sugar" are their two best known songs.
NOTE: The above post makes no sense. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Plus, in one advertisement for the FX original series "Over There," you see a scene where a female soldier is listening to a song in the middle of Iraq. This is just before a bomb of some sort goes off, jarring you. That song is "6 Underground" by the aforementioned Sneaker Pimps.
CRZ: "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" by Traffic (HI FLEA)
Oh HELL yeah! Great song *and* it gives you plenty of time to stand around looking cool! Now, just make it a set with with "Knock Three Times" and "Lovesick Blues" and it's ON LIKE NECKBONE!
(Unless you have the nerve to get up on "Gangsta Gangsta"...nah. Nonsense like that would get you in trouble...and not the good kind)
FLEA
Demonstrations are a drag. Besides, we're much too high

Not in THIS town...but it isn't in the book so that's a moot point. :)
