I was just wondering of anyone here is on Myspace, because I've been asked to set up myself on there and I'm wondering what the point of it is. What's it for, besides giving people a place to whine and vent at. I can already do that here, right, so why have another place for that?

I set up a MySpace account long ago, but haven't used it much. If you're familiar with Friendster, it's kind of the same thing. If you're not familiar with Friendster, it's basically a "six degrees" kind of thing where the more people you have listed as your friends gives you access to more people in their database when you do a search for people. I didn't really see much point in either MySpace or Friendster myself, but I did find a few old friends via the service who I hadn't seen or spoken to in years and was able to catch up with because of it, so I guess it did do something for me in the long run.
they went our of their way to make it un-trek. like, they ships and bases didn't have gravity and rotated to simulate it. stuff like that. They had Harland as a advisor for a reason... but the end of the 4th season really turned me off.
