I've been watching it since the beginning. There have been some seriously funny moments so far. The finale should be a blast. | JayJayDean

Randi's family was made out to be a bunch of assholes in the promos but seeing the whole thing play out makes me like them too. I didn't see last week's episode, but I'm stoked for the finale.

| #4 Posted on 20.2.04 2135.57 | Instant Rating: 5.03 | I love this show so much. Initially, I had no intentions of watching it because it cut into my Monday night tv watching schedule. Then one night, HHH came out to deliver a promo and I didn't want to hear it, so I turned to FOX. Since then, I've been hooked. I can't wait for the finale next week.
Steve and his fake family keep me laughing out loud with their craziness. I didn't really like Randi's family too much in the beginning. I mean, when they first came on, they were so snobbish to me. But her mom saved the day by telling Randi's siblings to support their sister.
That being said, based on the promo's for the finale, I can't wait to see how this unfolds.

| #6 Posted on 21.2.04 1150.02 | Instant Rating: 5.68 | My goodness, my wife and I really enjoy this show. I love the asides with Steve where he talks about the efforts they put into the stunts he does. We were rolling when they went to the caterers and tried the fish - he spit it out and said it was disgusting. Then they cut in with a later interview saying, "That was the best fish I had ever tasted, and here I've got to spit it out!" The man really seems like a nice guy at heart, but this is a job for him. The only downside I see for him is that he'll be typecast for any future roles.

| #7 Posted on 24.2.04 0843.21 | | I was initially disappointed with last night's finale. I was looking for more strife. Specifically, I was hoping that the whole Coy family got stiffed and they awarded the full million to Steve for being my new favorite actor on television. Too bad I'll never see him again. | whatever

| #8 Posted on 24.2.04 1018.38 | Instant Rating: 5.88 | The finale was okay. Steve did an admirable job on his behalf, but the production - making such terribly overwrought scenes and trying to build up "suspense" by replaying and jump-cutting got really, really annoying. I did get a chuckle out of the way Randi was blubbering when she got the half-million. Overall, it was nice to see the family be able to get over the whole debacle and laugh when they saw what Randi had been going through. Overall, a really good series that both my wife and I enjoyed.

Randi's dad, when he found out he's getting $500,000.00: "Cha-ching!"
Very disappointing ending. I wanted to see someone get punched (maybe one of her whiny brothers) or a complete breakdown. All we got was a lot of mush. Bah!

| #10 Posted on 24.2.04 1401.43 | Instant Rating: 6.99 | I thought Randi's Dad was pissed because he thought Randi had sold the family out, especially emotionally, and he only got happy when it was explained that she thought it was going to be a lot more light-hearted than she expected and at times she felt the eventual payoff was not worth what she was putting the family through.
I wonder if Steve thought he was going to get his ass kicked, by either one of the brothers or her dad. I would've made sure I was standing against a wall until the whole thing got explained, if I was him.

Does anyone else on here remember Steve from being on Strangers With Candy?

| #12 Posted on 25.2.04 1703.26 | Steve's speech explaining that the show, which clearly was all about the love of money turning into a story about the love of family bothered me. Randi was all about the cash.
The Coys were a very entertaining crowd. Sure, they were happy to win half a million, but until that happened they were all about being a cohesive, loving family.
Other than the speech, Steve was great every week. I was wondering when he got the time to plan with the producers/host. I wish they had showed more of the behind the scenes.

The Black Panthers sponsored a free breakfast program for children, sickle-cell anemia tests, free food and shoes, and a school, the Samuel Napier Intercommunal Youth Institute. However, as before, the Black Panthers were not without controversy. Funding for several of their programs were raised as the result of the co-operation of drug dealers and prostitution rings.

It appeared to me that the family was ticked off because they thought that Randi was screwing with them, but then they cheered up a bit when they found out thatRandi was getting the true screw job. | JayJayDean
