While they f'd up on the Christina kiss, seeing Justin's reaction was worth it's weight in platinum. That was by far the funniest thing I've seen since John Candy, God love 'em, came out during a Canadian awards show while somebody was speaking and held up a sign that said "ARGO TICKETS" and the number to call.

Yup. They had a series of guys reviewing comparisons between Eminem and 50 Cent (Queer Eye's Carson, Robert Englund, Stewie, Simon Cowell).
Stewie's was best, tho. STEWIE FOR GOVERNOR!

Considering he was up for more than four, it wouldn't surprise me if the VJ screwed up. Who was it, anyway? Kurt Loder (who they apparently only drag out of cold storage for VMA ceremonies)? That Fucking Tool John Norris?

| #14 Posted on 29.8.03 1333.14 | Cash's video won for Best Cinematography, which is actually more of an award for director Mark(?) Romaneck than it is Johnny Cash.
That's okay, we all know that Johnny Cash is a legendary artist who has been quoted by such musical geniuses as Charles Manson, and to see Cash cover Trent Reznor - one of the best composers of our time - was pretty cool in and of itself.
Missy Elliot's music video, which really only had the video part, winning was a sham, but I guess that's the point of these specials full of totally unforgettable MTV moments that I look forward to MTV saluting itself for in the years to come.

| #16 Posted on 29.8.03 1614.15 | Ok, I just watched the video clip...thanks for liking that...after hearing all the talk about this today. (Iwasn't home to watch it) and that seemed pretty tame. The way people in my office were talking I thought it was a long drawn out french between the two. Not that I'm complaining though.

| #20 Posted on 29.8.03 1837.10 | First Fred Durst, now Dave Navarro. Go Christina!
This was probably the least exciting show in quite a few years. Chris Rock looked like he got real tired towards the end, and the production was pretty much third rate. Nothing after The Kiss was all that much fun. Even Jack Black couldn't save this thing. Also, it was kinda strange to see one of these things with so little Eminem-related content, after the last couple of years. I guess that's what 50 Cent was there for.
Y'know, Dave Navarro played with Christina Aguilera, and was still more metal than Metallica was.
