Wiki for Don "Mr. Wizard" Herbert.
Damn, I almost forgot about this one from my younger days. There goes another one from my youth.

Aw, I loved Mr. Wizard. I always learned something from him and he always looked like he was so cool about everything. I think he really enjoyed being Mr. Wizard.

Only with a host who could handle all the "pedophile" cracks that would undoubtedly ensue - although the latest science show attempts (Bill Nye the Science Guy, Beakman's World) always seemed a little more targeted to the ADD diagnosed and ritalin takers, I'm still a big fan of the slower-paced stuff.

Zed, I agree about the frenetic pace. Mr. Wizard, got you interested and you actually listened as much as watched. Bill Nye and company are fine but it felt more like an infomercial than science.

Is it a crime to state that I liked all three shows (Nye to a lesser extent)?

RIP - Mr. Wizard. There won't be another like you.
