Looks like one more, 16 episode season of "Monk," and that's it. The ratings were always high and this was a show I thought USA would let stick around forever. No word on who called it quits, USA or producers (sounds like USA though). I have gotten the feeling lately that they're stretching for material, so it's good timing on this one. Still, sad to see it go. | Promote this thread! | | El Pescado

This has been one of me and my fiancee's favorite shows for a long time. She's going to be crushed. It's such a nice and wholesome show I'm really sad to see it go.
I am very happy, however, that they're going to wrap up the main storyline. The one thing I was always afraid of is that it would have been canceled and we would never know what happened to Trudy.

I just hope they can make peace with Bitty Schram to have her make a guest appearance at some point in the final season.

She's already made at least one appearance since her official departure.

This is pretty much how I feel. It kind of feels like it's time to put that mystery to rest - and if that's what closes out the show, then it's a fine way to go out.

When? IMDB lists her as being in 38 episodes, with the last one being aired in Aug. 2004. There's no listing for an episode beyond the ones she was in as a regular.
Wiki notes her as being mentioned in one episode, and mentions a book written that has both her and Natalie interacting, but best I can tell she never appeared onscreen again after leaving the show.

I stand corrected. I thought I remembered her making an appearance in the episode in which Monk fakes his own death, but she was only mentioned.
