Mr. Kennedy

I attended the Supershow Taping this last week and there was where I realized this guy & gimmick have potential to be huge. The guy has so much charisma and the gimmick could play off the Mr. Mcmahon character of old.
If you haven't watched the lockerdown Lowdown or whatever they call it on WWE.com it is hilarious. I think the guy be huge money for WWE. Meltzer said before he debuted on Smackdown that he was given the ball in OVW and was running with it and I think the same can be said for him on Smackdown.
Could be the best gimmick to come along since Cena's thug style.

"Kamikaze" Ken Anderson, Mr. Ken (Kenndy), is going to be the breakout star for the WWE this year. He's getting really over as a heel. He has great promos, great charisma, and he really STANDS out on the Smackdown roster. If he plays his cards right I see him going places in the WWE.

Suprisingly he's getting a lot of talk on other boards right now because I replied to a message earilier today.

I think he's definitely got a lot of potential, and I agree, he's a possible breakout star. He could be WWE's Rookie of the Year for 2005. Granted there isn't much competition for that, but...

I've been watching this guy for years and he's never, ever impressed me. He's borish and a cheap-heat machine at best. Also, from what I've been told, he may really work hard and try to improve, but he's the total type to let all of that success go to his head, be fake in the locker room, and be a self-serving prick.

I'm not trying to just tear him down, he does have a lot of ability and potential, but just from my own and others' experiences, I hope this guys bombs big time.

The guy's got charisma, no doubt ... Just a matter of time before he's vanilla-ed into a face run.

Damn Whattaburger, Correct me if Im wrong, but- you're hoping this guy fails at his career because you got a *feeling* he's the kind of guy who's a douche in real life? Thats cold blooded!

So far, Ive got a pretty good opinion of Mr.Kennedy- he's a good character, does stand out, is funny in his promos and in-ring and could be something big.

X-E's co-Worst Poster of all time! JKyle.com says:

He's funny, his matches haven't gotten boring, and he gets a pretty good reaction. Course with SmackDown, how can you tell...

He's pretty much been the reason to watch SD for me for the past two weeks.

"YEA-P! Gained a pound." was so funny I hit the replay button on my remote.

In my section at Alltell there was number of people booing the hell out of him as he came to the ring following his "smells like Arkansas" comment but after the match were cheering his win and finishing move.

Josh Mathews almost cracked up there at the end of that.

It's great to see WWE giving these new guys what looks to be carte blanche in getting a charcter together and getting it over.

I can't really imagine one of the writers coming up with Mr. Kennedy or MNM because if they did, why does the rest of the shows lack the creativity.

That was hysterical. The guy has magantism, I'll give him that. And is funny. I do, however, hope they keep him heel as this schtick as a face would be boring quick.

He had me at "nincompoops in zombieland." That kind of old-school Heenan-speak will win me over anytime. That's me. Easy like Sunday morning.

He kind of looks like Chris Candido.

I like Kennedy...Kennedy's charisma. As long as he's on Smackdizzle, I'll watch.

He reminds me of the Rock when the Rock wasn't boring.

Knowing and having worked with Ken like I do, I'd say...uh, no. Certain promoters may beg to differ, but no. Hell, I've shot more of his matches than OVW and WWE put together...and I couldn't be prouder of him.

Quick plug...plenty of Ken's earlier work available here. (ACW-NWA Wisconsin)

One thing we're wondering about over at the ACW-NWA WI board section devoted to Mr. Kennedy....KENNEDY: will he or WWE get in copyright issues with the Packers or NFL Properties for calling his rolling senton finisher "The Lambeau Leap?" Heck, it was just dubbed "The Green Bay Plunge" a couple of weeks ago...reminds me of Ahmed Johnson coming out in a Packer sweatshirt for a 1997 RAW at the Brown County Arena.

I dunno, maybe it's the fact that here you have a guy who charged insane amounts for personal training and "encouragement" and reeling you into his agreements for more money and results...and then goes and juices himself. Kind of backwards if you ask me.

I was feeling like a bit of a Kennedy skeptic (he seemed a bit too over the top for me, much like his fellow Wisconsinite, Chris Farley), but I must admit he got me with "she's hot, she's hot, she sucks." Not to mention the old Kennedy family rule about not getting involved in politics.

That's a good question concerning any jersey wearing in wrestling: does it have to be cleared with the team or are the leagues just happy to have their logos noticed on other stages than their own?

He's really good.
Finisher is gonna have to go eventually because it's a little implausible to set up.
I see him getting the US title sooner than later.
He's a bit of a comedic heel so he's either going face or hitting the wall eventually, but they've done a good job with the guy.

It seemed to me that Axel simply said he was no longer a Paul Heyman guy so as not to catch an immediate beating from Ryback, but they rolled with it on the following RAW, so I guess that makes it official?
