(I wasn't sure where this should go, but since I think of MP3 players as computer accessories, here it is.)
So, I don't knows if what I'm looking for even exists, but here goes.
I just got a new car and I have an auxiliary jack that I could use for an MP3 player. I'd like to get one and listen to podcasts and whatnot in my car with it. I don't need something with a lot of memory since I plan to cycle through files pretty quickly. So, I thought there might exist an MP3 player with no internal memory of its own that plays files off of a regular USB flash drive, since I already have a few of them.
I've been looking around some various websites but I haven't stumbled across anything like this. Has anybody heard of a product like this?
Ken Kennedy debuted a new finisher: Jeff Hardy fans will insist on calling it the Swanton Bomb, but it looks WAY more devastating when not performed by a 180-pound fruitcake. -Rick Scaia 06.12.2006
The key distinction here that I either missed or you guys are missing is that he wants to plug in his USB sticks (already purchased) into this new mp3 player in order to use them as storage. I don't think he wants one that acts as a USB stick.

ah. I did miss that. I saw one of those along the way back when I was looking at flash MP3s - but was told, no, don't get it because the drive keeps slipping out of the player.
so I got the Sandisk. Now I have the Zen (which is a great MP3 HD player)
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

I was going to mention the cellphons too! But I thought it was just me, because it only happened with our first (i.e. REALLY OLD) models. As for the darkness on the monitor, you can also check the "temperature" settings on the monoitor.
